I don't "support" them. I accept them as part of the natural way of things.
The human race is in NO DANGER of extinction unless we blow ourselves up. There's 6.5 BILLION people on this planet and increasing despite any homosexuality.
Personally, I think the increase in homosexual instances is natures way of attempting to decrease the population. Too bad it isn't going to work because people can't keep their legs together anyway.
Edit: No it is not a step in the wrong direction. Humanity needs to stop breeding itself out of existance. Its called overpopulation, look it up.
Now... in the animal kingdom, and further decreased to the biospheres of the planet...
A dominant species that lives in a given area may overpopulate. When it does so, they begin to over eat the food source/use up the resources which leads to a decrease in the food source/resources needed for survival. Which then means that the members of said species will begin to starve and die off.
This has been demonstrated through a great deal of testing by scientists around the world.
Human beings are the dominant species on the planet. How long do you think thats going to last before we've finally used up all our resources, or made the planet virtually unlivable, before we begin to die off?
Human beings MUST stop procreating. We MUST. Or we are going to make the planet unlivable for ourselves.
Homosexuals adopt children. Most don't give birth. Which is a good thing. There are so many children on this planet already that need loving and caring good parents.
Please stop trying to villainize the homosexual population. They are doing nothing wrong. All they're doing is loving each other in a way you don't like because you are absolutely obsessed with the sex and sexuality of other people. Its the rest of us that can't keep our bloody legs together and QUIT HAVING ALL THOSE BABIES.

I have no problem with homosexuals.
They will not lead to the extinction of the of the human race. For that to occure, they would have to not only account for more than 95% of the population, but that 95% would have to completely avoid reproduction with the other sex, and among homosexuals, many do reproduce.
Also, if homosexuality is genetic, it is not a dominant trait and two homosexual parents are far more likely to spawn heterosexual children.
Even in societies where homosexual behavior was expected, for example, ancient Greece, the importance of reproduction was held in high regard.

Being able to explain the origins of something does not necessarily hve to mean that you support it, but that said, I do spport homosexuals having equal rights to the rest of us. They are humans just like everybody else and therefore, as all humans deserve equal rights (except those being justly punished for a crime), they deserve equal rights.
The belief that homosexuality will lead to extinction is wrong. There will alwys be a certain number of homosexuals in any human group large enough to support their existence statistically. Homosexuality is almost definitely a mixture of nature and nurture.
There is no basis to believing that there are statistically more homosexuals now than in any previous generation, although there are probably more practising homosexuals.
Many of the problems on our planet are due to some extent to human overpopulation.
In fact, if homosexuals are less likely to mate, there is less chance that they will pass on their genetic predisposition towards homosexuality; but this predisposition is most likely still spread very evenly across the human population so would still be passed on to future generations.
By the way, "evolution-believers" is a misnomer for those who accept the scientific proofs of evolution - I would advise you to refer to Richard Dawkins for more information on this.

Homosexuals cannot even begin to damage society as much as the heteros that are spreading sperm and disease everywhere. Look at all the fatherless children and all the children in the foster care system. Even if one believes that homosexuality is a sin, it is certainly overshadowed by the rampant practice of adultery, lust, and fornication. That would make it like a priority 20 on a scale of 1-10.

You might want to study evolution and the impact of the individual on a species a little better. I think you're confused. Homosexuals can and do have children. In fact, since most of their offspring are chosen (rather than conceiving by accident), at this point you could even suggest that children of homosexuals have the advantages when growing up.

No. That's not so.
Homosexuality would have to be fully dominant in a culture for that to happen and even if said homosexuality was dominant, it would have to mean that no one ever experimented with straight sex.
Indeed, if you firmly believe in evolution, and you look at homosexuality as a method of limiting the size of a society, it could be said to be of a benefit to society.
Humankind would probably be better off in smaller numbers, with less fertility.
You don't know much about evolution do you?
Not much about homosexuality, too, I suppose. Of the 5 points on the Kinsey scale, only one (and that one's the minority) never has reproductive sex.

No, I'm sure they believe that in time through natural selection since so many are homosexual that eventually men and men will be able to have babies and women and women will be able to have babies, or maybe we'll go Asexual again like when we went through the sponge stage or something. I don't like the odds that AIDS is having against the population and it got it's start with homosexuality then transferred to heterosexual couples by some who were bi and now children, so they are hurting many people.

That is a statistically biased question. I feel that homosexuals should be allowed and should have full rights. However, I do not say that homosexuality is the way to go. Conservative bigot.

Yes, it would. Hypothetically, if every single person were homosexual, the human race would have a very difficult time continuing to exist. Also, if every single person were a Catholic priest (celibate), the same problem would develop.
Is that seriously the best argument left against homosexuality? Wow.

Homosexuality is not a threat to the human race since it is not a hereditary trait. If it was hereditary, then yes, it would be a problem. But it isn't hereditary, so it has nothing to do with procreation.
