Very much so. My life seems to have been a journey to arrive at this point. I'm a masters level therapist and parenting coach. I enjoy being able to help people to begin to deeply accept themselves, discover what they truly value in life, set priorities, work to achieve them and then accept what comes before moving on to try and alter them.
At this point in my life, I feel that I was born to connect with others and accept them. It comes easy to me. I've never had a client walk in the door that I wasn't able to understand or connect with on some level. And more often than not I'm able to do so in a large number of areas.
I am privileged to be invited into the lives of so many individuals and families. It feels damn satisfying to relieve suffering and to help parents and their children connect and live more fully. Lots of us believe at some level that we are just not acceptable, for all kinds of reasons. To me psychotherapy is not for damaged people, it is for smart people who have the sense to know that they desire to become more authentic and more connected. All of us have sustained wounds in the course of our growing up and living life. There are few goals in life that are more worthwhile in my estimation than connection with others and self-authenticity. There are many other interesting goals, but there aren't many that rival those for being deeply satisfying. Other goals, I believe, should be in service of those goals.
Finding what you're truly "built" to do is more satisfying than I can communicate here. My life has it's struggles and failures like everyone else, but it sure helps to wake up each day and to believe on a fundamental level that what you're doing is very well matched with your abilities and desires.

For me the answer is definitely not ! I have high morals and ethics and that is how i raise my children. However i work in the field of substance abuse and practice harm reduction with my clients. the two are separate environments for me. I go to work and leave it there at the end of the day. At home that is my sanctuary and nothing enters in unless i invite it. that for allowing me to reflect.

Yes. I am an in accounting, and I believe in honesty. I get to catch people who commit fraud, since, specifically, I am a fraud auditor. I'm the last person you want to see take the stand if you are getting prosecuted for your accounting practices.

As long as I am the only one making the decisions. That sounds arrogant. I detest arrogant people. Let me rephrase.... nope that would make it untrue. Shoot, there goes one of my values!

Nice try, and fail, at guilt-tripping every one not aware.
Only the "greatest" of "three" things never fails any test.
Grace neither tempts(laws) nor can be tempted(lawed).
Thereby His Grace notably cannot lie(law) nor die( law).
Funny things, about your law law is, it does both. Selah.
The "work" God gave JC to do, got "finished" in Jn 17.
A second "finished" in Jn 19 gives "place" to the d-evil.
Read what James 1:15 says of "it is finished" in Jn 19.
POINT: do will of God PRECEDES receive the promise.
Will of God: "I will have mercy(grace), not sacrifice(law)".
Pst: the "not" part of such is not then, not now, not ever.
God NEVER desired sacrifice for sin, witch is of the law.
"More excellent": neither broadmindead nor narrowmindead.
Word of God: Grace, is "sharper than any twoedged sword".
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I'm a lawyer......that clears it up pretty much, don't it?
I defend thieves, libelers, slanderers, larceners, even a few statutory rapists....
But I also defend their victims, and believe me.....the good ones always win.
