I keep hearing from Christians that I should try praying and asking god to reveal itself to me. I honestly have and nothing ever happens so…

Have you tried renouncing Jesus and god? Give it a try and you’ll see that nothing terrible will happen. In fact nothing will happen at all.

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:37-39)

I realize that many of the comments made by nonbelievers here are rude and offensive, however, we should never respond in kind. Remember the words of our Master.
Matthew 10:16 MKJV Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.

I have a Christian boyfriend, but I am a Buddhist. Every time we have a disagreement he tells me that this is hapenning because the devil is trying to split us apart.

I find this rather superstitious, but I may be wrong, so I am open to your advice. Do you guys think that the devil actually takes the trouble of putting couples at odds?

Ok, by disagreements I mean perception misunderstandings, not open fights in which bickering is involved. Thanks in advance for your help.

Every single one of us can have the Father guiding us. But you see, if you do what Jesus attempted, to make temples within every single person and to replace dogma with spirituality, that disrupts the establishment. No longer will the people pay someone to be their religious leader. Can you see John Hagee sticking around if the money tree dried up?

Speaking only for me, I want to say , "God I'm here for You, to experience You. I love You, and I know You love me", and be on my way. No dogma, no fear, and trying to live a life with honor and dignity.

There won't be a race for me to watch, so I'm going to sleep in, go to Coney Island, and stock up on Half-Price Chocolate Day the next day. (That's the multifaith holiday that falls on Monday after Easter! :-) Other years, I have visited my family and/or gone surfing, and once I did my taxes and cleaned my house from top to bottom.

How do the rest of you deal with it?

Ive come to a place in my life where I'm questioning my faith, my beliefs, everything! I am christian....but have many opinions and views that are not "popular" among others of the christian faith. I don't attend church regularly. In fact, that's one of my issues: I have ALOT of problems with organized religion. I have so many questions, and so many of my own beliefs.....I feel really confused! Is it wrong of me to "question God"? I feel like its just human nature to question things....but yet, I feel guilty! Any help or guidance you could give me is much appreciated. Thanks!

Why don't christians accept islam when witnessed?
What arguments do you use to refute islam?
What evidence do you demand?

Why is islam not the true religion for you?
What do you do to these muslims who witness to you?
Do you witness back?

How do your answers differ from those given by atheists when you witness your god to them?

I've heard many people saying wearing a rosary around your neck is wrong, because it's only supposed to be used for prayer.

I wear one around my neck, but under my shirt so it is not shown as an accessory. It just reminds me to thank God every day.

Judgementalists are people who use the bible to judge and condemn. They use excerpts from it to hammer you with it, hoping to make you suffer or cringe in fear.

Was that what the teachings of Jesus say to do?

Finding that consciuosness is circular, meaning we actually see, hear and feel what we are expecting in a circular fashion. From the eye to the brain and from the brain to the eye. Thus it is true that if you need to see god you do, and if don't, you won't.

I have heard it said before that "The Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence" in relation to God's existence.

I am an investigator for work. In the investigation field, the absence of evidence IS evidence of absence. Plainly put, if, at the scene of a crime, there is no evidence that X was present, it is safe to conclude that X did not perpetrate the crime. This goes for all evidence - microscopic, blood splatter evidence, trace evidence, DNA evidence, etc.

Now, in all fields of science, there is an astonishing absence of evidence for God's existence. Biology, Geology, Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry - all have come away with absolutely no evidence of God's existence.

So, is it not then safe to conclude that, due to lack of evidence, God is absent from the equation?

Respectfully submitted - so please respond with equal respect.

Do you think that when people who dont believe in the bible point out the obviouse things that mean that the bible isnt true, christians like to think that they understand everything and people who dont believe in the bible are missing out? And do you think that the christians who believe in the bible need to get a bit of common sense?
And dont answer as if this is my view please because I am just asking the question.

I was talking theogology and said that I don't believe in God as a seperated entity and explained how I am not athetist or believe in God... They said "Well God beleives in you'. I thought that was rather rude like saying 'well the truth there whether you want to take it or not. Which means that person totally discounted all my beliefs as less then theirs
