Please be very careful about renouncing God and Jesus. Nothing might not happen to you right away but that doesn't mean you haven't hurt God and Jesus. Jesus died on the cross, he took our punishment so that we might be forgiven. God has revealed Himself to you you just haven't realized it. Have you ever had someone come up to you and say or do something that made you feel good inside, that was God. Have you ever listened to a song or heard someone say something encouraging to you, that was God. Have you ever looked at the ocean, sky, flowers, trees, nature and thought isn't this beautiful, that was God. Yes, there is a lot of "bad" in this world but there is a lot of good too and the good comes from the Lord.

Wrong, I won't because I know for a fact that He exist, whether you choose to believe or accept it or not, your refusal to believe or accept it is irrelevant.
and besides, I honestly believe that you didn't honestly tried praying and asked God to reveal Himself to you.
What you are asking people to do is to committ the unforgiveable sin.
A believer cannot commit the unforgivable sin. How can someone who has been born again (John 3:7), made a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17), and received eternal life (John 10:27-28) actually commit the unforgivable sin? He cannot. Jesus Himself said that we have eternal life, not conditional life: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand." Besides, it says in 2 Cor. 5:17 that the Christian is a new creation in Christ. We are different, no longer slaves to the old nature (Rom. 6:14). We are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
There is no biblical support for a believer committing this sin. It just hasn’t happened. Also, if you are worried that you may have committed the sin and can’t be forgiven, then don’t be concerned. If you are worrying about it, then you haven’t committed it. If you are worried about it, then that is a sign that you have not committed it. If you had, you wouldn’t be concerned.

My mother said to me once: If a man prays all his life & then dies, finding out there is no God, what has he lost? If a man does not pray & dies, and finds out there IS a God, what has he lost? When you lose someone you love, being a Christian & believing they have gone to a better place makes the road to your own recovery much easier to handle. The fact is, our time living on earth as we know it , is but a mere blink of an eye compared to life eternal as we Christians are taught to believe in. To be able to see my brother again , who died on a motorcycle at the age of 22 [ I was 17 ] will be an amazingly joyful time. Not to mention my parents & numerous friends who have departed before me. Can't Wait ! Being a Christian is not always easy, But not being one, I think, would take more energy. Keep the faith and God Bless us all.

Actually, I tried for over a year - I decided I was an agnostic and studied the arguments of atheists. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your POV), I could not silence the Spirit of God speaking deeply to my mind.
I thought well, maybe I could be a Deist or maybe just believe in another Theistic religion instead of Christianity. However as I studied what they believed, I knew what they taught just couldn't be true - I knew too much about what the Bible taught in contrast to what their faith taught.
It's like the account in the Gospels where Jesus' disciples are abandoning Him because it was becoming too hard to keep following this guy. Jesus asked Peter if he was going to go too. Peter's reply? "Where could I go Lord? You alone have the words of eternal life."
If I'm going to be a theist (and not being one made me miserable), it makes the most sense to me to be a follower of Christ.

Perhaps not while your still with us my friend. The earth is the Devils playgound and you are on his monkey bars way up on top ready to jump off. The problem is there is no safety matt when you finally fall. I think you better do some studying. Why do you think God owes you an answer about anything? He has already told you what you are suppose to do and you reject it. Remeber what comes around goes around. He that believes but has not seen will be saved. I don't suppose you can relate to that though.

It took nearly 20 years for the Lord to reveal Himself to me when I asked at the age of 8. (Revelation in the "concrete" way, I imagine you were seeking)
It was totally worth the wait and the confusion I went through during those 20 years.
I pray you don't totally close the door on Him answering you. You might find yourself quite surprised.
*Oh yeah - forgot to answer part of your question. No way I will renounce My Lord. I have seen with my own eyes his Mighty and Majestic Power in my tiny little life - I am not ABOUT to mess with that!

I refuse to. I've lived most of my life without God, so I know what that is like.
Now, I live my life for God, and I know what that is like. I prefer God.
When God reveals Himself, it's a process. He is not going to reveal that of Himself that you cannot handle. Also, He knows your heart.
What? Were you CHALLENGING Him? Or were you sincere, with a pure heart, accepting His Son, seeking to know Him?
I have asked Him to reveal Himself to me. He does in little ways, but also in big ways. I feel His Spirit within me. He changed me. By seeking to know Him, His characteristics through the Holy Spirit manifest in me. The change in my character, my attitude, my love is God. It's Him. That's how He revealed Himself to me. By the changes within me.
Have you accepted Christ as your Savior, turn away from your former life and ask for forgiveness?
The only prayers God will answer for the unsaved are prayers of redemption.

I don't believe that you are confident with that idea. God doesn't work on our time, but his. He is a loving God. He's not trying to catch you doing or saying wrong or down right stupid things in order to punish you. The fact that nothing terrible happened after your renunciation should tell you that. But by the grace of God...

Keep asking God to reveal Himself. He doesn't do anything on your schedule and God requires great patience. I will tell you this - if you are not a child of God, then you are a child of the devil. If you are serving man, you are serving the devil. If you are a secular humanist, you are serving man. In the words of Joshua the Prophet, "Choose you this day, who you will serve - God or man." I would not renounce my Lord.

LOL, we ALL renounced Jesus before we chose to be Born Again!
And just so you know, God isn't answering you because you don't believe in Him. If you believed, but were unsure, then you'd see a response to your prayer. To paraphrase Jesus, no such sign will be given to unbelievers.
