The Quran sets the rule for a married couple (with no children) when they inherit from each other as follows:

1- If the wife dies first, her husband inherits HALF of her estate.

2- If the husband dies first, his wife inherits ONLY QUARTER of his estate.

Is there any reason for the discrimination?

Jesus said love your enemies and not to seek revenge then how come conservative christians support execution of criminals except for defence? Aren't they following the mosaic law of an eye for an eye?

God made rainbows as a sign that he would not flood the world again. OK. What was different about the laws of physics before the flood that made it so rainbows did not work?

And you listened or you didn't listen only to find out that it was God.

Or has God never talked to you at all.

This question is for sane people, no cult members please...

I think God does like us to have pain. I had a pain in my foot which gave me warning something was wrong with my body. A minor surgery cured it. I was once in a minor state of emotional suffering in a life situation. This caused me consider that a change had to be made. It made that change and was happy with the outcome. I know these are not the extreme examples of pain and suffering that people use to say there is no God, but I still feel the every day pain and suffering is a protective and learning tool that God must allow even if means allowing an extreme experience of pain and suffering. I believe in the law of opposites. To know the good you must also know the bad. I think this whole life experience leads to something eternal but is really a very minor part in this eternal process. I don't believe in sin or eternal suffering. I think there is some objective purpose to the universe and our lives within it. We'll all have the answer when we die. (assuming we wake up)

I remember very clearly being taught that Jesus said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", and there was also the line about turning the other cheek.

You fundamentalist must be amazing people to be so sin free that you can keep throwing stones at everyone you disagree with.

Personally, I don't believe in the bible, or what it says, so I'm free to do what I want.

However I do have a moral obligation to reasonable (I stick to it most of the time)

I just posted something that said God and Allah are the same thing. Many of you misunderstood me. The word God translated to Arabic is Allah. Just like to word "girl" in English is the word "bint" in Arabic. They both mean girl but in different languages.
