I asked a question regarding Noah and the Ark, but for some reason the Question was deleted. The reason that was given is for it being deleted is Chatting & Personal Communications. That doesn't make sence to me. Can someone please explain.

Question Details: Ok Noah took two of every animal onto the ark made of gopher wood. So since there are only two of every animal what did the lions, tigers, leapords, dogs and all the other meat eating animals eat? Is that where the unicorns and dragons went???

I will be attending a North Carolina public school next year, and I would like to have a positive first roommate experience. I have nothing against people of other faiths - my best friend is Hindu, another good friend is Jewish, and I hang out with all types of people. However, I would like to room with someone that shares my faith. I know too many people who went potluck and were stuck with someone who frequently got drunk, or brought their boyfriend in almost every night...personally, I would rather not have that roommate experience. Any suggestions?

Can I just go attend a service?
Is there a way in which I must dress?
I think I would be a little ackward attending a service since I am not muslim but i do look persian so I wouldn't stand out. I'm hispanic btw. I have an interest in religon which is why I am interested in attending. I would appreciate any feedback.

If that is so, than to truly be a good Muslim one would need to have a fairly advanced knowledge of Arabic. Isn't that a little exclusive?

I would have to say that all the G8 countries ahead of ours in math, science, and reading have more atheists than we do. What does religion have to do with poor performance in school? I can't see those top nations teaching Christianity. I couldn't picture all those atheists telling school children that everything revolves around god. I keep hearing that the kids are required to read Carl Marx before graduation in a large number of schools in European countries. Where did this myth come from that taking away religion is the problem? Are these European nations really teaching bible studies, or did you Christians just make that up that prayer and bible reading in schools helps kids perform better in reading writing, math, and science?

A muslim friend told me that on his death, he will be asked three questions by an unknown source and if correct he will be admitted to heaven.
I have paraphrased the questions he told me:
Which religion are you?
Who is your god?
Who is this person? (I believe then an image appears)

If I already know the relative answers to these questions being Islam, Allah and Muhammad, then does that mean I get admitted to heaven?
I am not in anyway trying to disparage the faith of muslims, however I am an atheist and if I am wrong about religion when I die, then I would like to have all bases covered.

I live in a town that is mostly Catholic and they really seem to think their stuff doesn't stink. I'm not asking this to be mean or insulting; I'm just wondering if their view of themselves as the one and only true church makes them arrogant?

Where would we be(those of us who know what he says he saw he saw)? When you think of all the people who are dependant on our prayers is a frightening thought We are all dependant on Joseph's prayer and our children are dependant on our prayers. If your family were members before you then you are dependant on thier prayers too.
Who is dependant on your prayers? Do you see how important our prayers are?

Personally, to me it sounds like a whole fairytale, men on horses, multiple headed dragons, and a bloodpool of dead bodies everywhere? But why would god want us to die this way, shouldn't we die peacefully?
