Well, Moses had TWO wives. Tziporah, a midianite princess who was the daughter of Jethro; and a nameless Cushite (black) wife that his sister Miriam was punished for speaking against in private.

He was married to Tziporah before he went back to Egypt to get the Hebrews, but the Cushite is only mentioned AFTER leaving Egypt.

My guess is that it was the sea parting that sealed the deal. Black chicks dig sea parters.

(Or in the case of the wives of prophets: Cushite women are impressed by godliness.)

Hey! It's not nice to make fun of things that didn't really happen.

According to renowned Israeli archaeologist, Professor Ze'ev Herzog of Tel Aviv University, the archaeological evidence shows that the Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the 12 tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united monarchy of David and Solomon, which is described by the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom, and at worst nothing but a myth.

How about this . . . your pastor suggested and did fairly some cool stuff, led with assistance from God, and 1000's of years later, the flaws written about him, got here to be believed to be written with assistance from him. Makes a lot more advantageous experience that way, doesn't it?
