Ok, please not the revelation of a Messiah ( I think that happened right after the expulsion from Eden though) but that the Messiah is already a personification of God, not just a man.
I'm just led to think this only happened in the New Testament, that's why I'm testing the idea.

Hmmm, I think the quote from Samuel only showed that the Messiah will come from the line of David but gave no hint on being God's Son.

If we continue the quote from Samuel, " I will be a father to him and he shall be a son to me. And if he does wrong , I will correct him with the rod of men and with human chatisements..." so, I think the quote talks of the fatherly relation between God and His people and not directly about His Son.
I think the chosen people were waiting for a Messiah, but were still in the dark that the Messiah is God's Son.

Psalm 2 (the word translated "anointed" or "Anointed one" in verse 2 is the same word as Messiah - see also verses 7,12)
Psalm 89:26,27
See also Isaiah 9:6,7

It was prophesied by many prophets but I like this one made by Isaiah in 9,5-6
For a child is born to us, a son is given us; upon his shoulder dominion rests. They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace.
6
His dominion is vast and forever peaceful, From David's throne, and over his kingdom, which he confirms and sustains By judgment and justice, both now and forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this!
Also in Isaiah 40,3-5 with Matthew 3,3
A voice cries out: In the desert prepare the way of the LORD! Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God!
4
Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill shall be made low; The rugged land shall be made a plain, the rough country, a broad valley.
5
Then the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all mankind shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Matthew 3,3
It was of him that the prophet Isaiah had spoken when he said: "A voice of one crying out in the desert, 'Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.'"
Grace and peace!

Brad has a good answer below. I would also add that God promised to David that his throne would be established forever via the Messiah. Locally speaking of Solomon, but according to Hebrews 1, was speaking prophetically of Christ.
“Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts:..."I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; ...I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son."
So far you have three good answers to choose from. :)

I dont know exactly the first, but here's an early one where God talks about his Son:
Psalm 2:5-9
5Then he rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 "I have installed my King
on Zion, my holy hill."
7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD :
He said to me, "You are my Son ;
today I have become your Father.
8 Ask of me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will rule them with an iron scepter ;
you will dash them to pieces like pottery."
