The ape confined with 4 hands evolves mentally to become man. Jesus confined by the guards, persecuted by the dog eat dog in his heart and evolves above human nature to be the son of God.

"There are too many 'religious' people who become religious precisely to avoid having to think," writes the dean of a theological seminary in the United States. "They simply want to accept everything 'on faith,'" he adds. Is his assessment correct in your own case? Explain.

This is not a shot at fasters but I do wonder. How will going hungry solve anything? Why do you believe not eating is what God wants? Taking an active role in your concerns (whatever they are) is the best way to help this or change that. GFoing hungry, as I see it, will only cause dizziness, weakness and fatigue.

can somebody explain to me what mormons believe and verses to back themselves up? Thanks

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast! Ephesians 2:8-9

Our scientific means for testing hypotheses require limited (within space and time) test subjects. Does god (as generally conceived of, whether you believe the concept is true or not) fit into this limited domain?

If so, what mode of enquiry would you use to provide evidence for god? Think this through, because whatever test you choose must provide evidence that cannot (logically) be explained in any other way.

If not, is it reasonable to ask for evidence on which to base your belief (positive or negative)? In other words, is scientific Atheism a rational position?

Note: I consider myself a scientific Atheist, and this is the question I am struggling with.

I'm sorry but just read it sometimes. Sure it's a very nice story, but some of the things are just ridiculous and don't make sense. Am I really supposed to believe a guy built an ark, filled it with two of every species and floated around in a flood for '40 days and 40 nights'? When did this worldwide flood happen? Not only that, but it's so obvious the book was written by people with their own agendas. The bible discriminates against women, and homosexuals, and critical thinkers... these are people God created... why would he punish them? Why do I have to believe in some book and share a faith with millions of other people, why can't I just have my own personal relationship with God and that be good enough?

courthouses, city halls, wherever theres a 10 commandments, or cross......should there be a bhudda and shinto shrine? shouldmuslims be able to pull their prayer rugs out before the school football game? should the dollar bill say "blessed be" instead of 'in god we trust?" i think that if people demanded this, youd hear a huge clunk as christians everywhere threw their mouth transmissions into reverse.....we would see the same religious leaders get up...and preach the exact opposite of what they had preached just prior......it shouldbe either all religions, or none. savvy?

**its only fair**
