If someone has any information concernng myths, folklore,or any other information concerning gargoyles and there signifcance i would appreciate it. Thank you.

I have always believed they were guardians but not where that idea came from.

How did the fresh water separate from the sea water and does the Bible mention a great freeze (and redistribution of the Earth's salt/fresh water reserves)? If all this didn't happen quickly, why does the Bible not mention that the water was around for MUCH longer that it says?

I guess you've already been asked why all that fresh water didn't kill all the sea fish, so I'll save that. Thanks for all answers.

I have never ever had anything to do with God, religion, or the Bible. My boyfriend grew up with it (his father is a pastor) and I recently got saved and accepted God into my life. Other than the Bible, I need a book to help me understand exactly what Christianity is, and what I'm getting into. I don't know the story of the Bible, I am basically clueless and I don't know where to start.

B) telling people they will go to hell
paying lip service at a church on a sunday
insulting other religions and telling those who believe in them they will go to hell

Why are so many people on here only angry with the christian faith? It would seem to me that if people are truly honest they wouldn't single out just the one religion to despise. The fact that so many people hate christianity only reinforces my belief in Christ as my Lord and Savior, or else why would it be so much more intense of a debate than other religions? How come only Catholics believe in holy water, but all of the Christian religions believe that babies need to be baptized. Which involves dipping a baby in water (holy water) and then the baby's a Christian?

Most of us do not like it when we receive such treatment. Why do so many of us of all beliefs do it so often then? An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind. How will we ever be able to understand different people in this way? Is it really good? Peace be with you all

If the Holy Bible is supposed to be the word of God or even the inspiration of God. where is the evidence for this belief. Would Christians please answer. And please dont say the proof comes from the Bible. Because it obviously can't prove its self. If not proof what basic reasoning do you have for believing this.
