Can history books in school prove themselves? It's a belief and you have to think of it as a history book.

Christians simply believe that Jesus was the messenger of God, Jesus told the word of God and people wrote down and interpreted what Jesus said after his death. As Holy means 'of' or 'from' God, the information from Jesus is said to be Holy because it was a message of God. It's not about the evidence that is claimed, it is just about individual and passed down beliefs of Christianity and their Faith, and you can't change someones Faith in something once it is there.

There are 40 authors of the Bible, written in a span of over 1600 years in 3 continents.
Every author gave credit to God.

I look at the Bible like this - inspired by God does not mean written by God. I can be inspired by God too, to right an essay or song, but that doesn't mean that God wrote my essay or my song.

The change in one’s life is the proof; but the change can only start through faith (not from proof). The change starts with a gift from God so that no man can boast or claim credit. You might think I’m whacked, but sincerely talk to God from your heart and invite him to show you what Christ is all about. You will be pleasantly surprised. ;)

If the bible was the word of God, why did God bother speaking through so many different men?
and not Jesus? and I know he spoke through Jesus
but why didnt jesus write anything? and if he did, why did christians argue about it for centuries??

No way God is so full of hate and bigotry. The bible is fiction created by men.
