and if god is our father, what a horrible father. force youre children to love you or you burn in hell, if he were a real human father, he would be an alchoholic who beats and mentally abuses his children.

Why do people condemn witches to hell?

Isn't hell also a superstition?

And what about God, The Devil or the Gods, aren't they also just superstition?

Magick can be done in any gods name...

What on earth is not a superstition?

Many years before I heard of Scientology, I lived near a church for Christian Scientists. Are these two in any way related?

Take a look at EyeLovesJesus's answer to my question, and then explain to me why *she* could give me a nice, loving response when other Christians told me I was going to burn in hell?

What does that say about them? Do they think hateful words will make me want to convert so I can be just like them?

I hope I do not embarrass you by singling you out my friend, but you are a wonderful example to me of what I (for whatever my opinion is worth, LOL!) think a Christian should be.

I was raised Lutheran (christian) and strayed from that in my early teens, shortly after I was confirmed. Mostly because I felt the large church was impersonal and never really felt like I had a relationship with my spiritual side while in the lutheran church. I studied paganism for a number of years, but never truly felt as though that touched my heart and always felt as though there was something missing. So now, here I am, closing in on 30, with no concept of religion and no spiritual community. I feel very lost.

Can I just call local religious leaders and ask to talk with them? Will they talk with me openly without forcing their beliefs on me? Give me some ideas folks! I'm tired of wandering.

I recently posted a question and it proves my point quite succinctly (see link below)
I never once brought up christianity, and yet many christians began inferring that I meant their belief system. This happens regularly.. people tend to make quite a few assumptions in reading a question.
Wouldn't it make more sense (and bring about better understanding) to simply take the question at face value?

I want to understand your culture. I think your culture is cool. Even though, I do believe in a God. I live in Canada, and I am fascinated by other cultures and there beliefs and the stuff they don't believe in. Please answer. Thank You.

To be ignorant means to be separate from enlightenment.

Thats why in this world we have bigotry and judgement and all kinds of horror.
