You? Convert? hehehe, good joke!
Well, just theoretically:

1.) Pick one with a scandalous, fanatical leader... preferably one really focused on armageddon, sinners going to hell and world ending very, VERY soon.

2.) ascend through ranks as fast as you can, bribe and get rid of people if you must...

3.) Then when you're right below the leader, stage some huge scandal, like a quarrel over a religious dogma or similar. Schism from his branch of church (even better, if you can pull it off, get rid of him and declare yourself the supreme leader).

4.) keep repeating the lines about damnation and the end of the world. Copy the bible, especially the book of revelation. Make sure everyone believes you the world will end really soon, like next week or tomorrow.

5.) After you fortified your position as the supreme leader, change the rules of your denomination's worship so that it includes a lot of booze and maidens every major religious practice.

6.) Enjoy it to the fullest. The world will end tomorrow anyway.

Actually, not theoretically, no one can or ever has "converted" to Christianity. The 120 at Pentecost received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and became, by an act of God, the first "converts."

They were 'converted' by an experience with God, not by joining anything. They were in the Upper Room by command. After following Jesus Christ for three years they were still, even the 12, just people justified by faith; not as yet filled with the spirit or converted.

Scripture states, without question, that only God adds to His church those who are being saved.

Understanding the above, here is your answer: If you are called of God; you will, from this point, simply be led to a Christian fellowship which rests in the full anointing of the Holy Ghost. There you will find discernment to correct your understanding and surrender your life to His. Once you receive the spirit of Christ, He will guide you into all truth.

Without the above, or a meeting with a true God-sent Christian, you might walk the Yellow Pages or stab your finger to one of these answers. Per chance God will show mercy.

Honestly, its not what denomination its which church is teaching the essential doctrines. which church is expounding the Bible and not exponding there own doctrine. there are many denominations but few even understand or preach the Gospel. many tdenominations teach a "man centered Gospel", for example "come to God he wil give you ____"
Come to God he will help you with____
do have financial problems? hhm? family problems? Just come and recive Christ and he will make it all better. these are Just a few of the examples of the "man centered Gosplel" of all the esential doctrines. this is the one that is vitaly important and this is one where we have to get it right. Why did Christ die? what was His purpose in dying and being ressurected again> what does it mean to you? these are questions I want to answer.

Have you ever lied, stolen, lusted, coveted, or been angry with someone unjustly? If so, then you have broken the Law of God. God has said "You shall not steal; You shall not lie; You shall have no other gods before Me; You shall not murder, commit adultery, covet, make idols ect. you get the picture. God is so Holy and Just that he wil make sure sin is punished. you see the Law is a reflection of the character of God, therefore, to break God's law is to offend God and deny the holiness of His character. which angers him greatly. The Bible says Gods wrath abides upon you, your an enemy of God thruoug your wicked works and one day if your stand beofre God guilty, he will be forced to give you Justice and that means you could end up in hell. Despite this, there is incredibly good news, Jesus Christ left the comfort of the thrones of heaven and became a man and suffered and died on the cross for your sins. when Christ died, he took the wrath and indignation that you and I deserve. The Bible says for God so Loved the world he gave his Only begotten son, that whosoever belieth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Now, you must recieve this gift of salvation by invitation. what you must do is repent (turn from sin) and trust in Christ as you would trust a parachute, you wouldnt simply belive in the parachute, you would put it on. and thats what you must do, is repent and trust in Christ. the moment you do you wil be forgiven and granted the gift of everlasting life. but I must warn, please do not tarry, there is only a certain amount of time left, each and every breaht is a God given gift, another opportunity for you to come to repentace. God has been so kind to you, dont spurnm the invitaiton, repent and trust in Christ today.
God Bless

Only you could make that choice. Hopefully, you would make a study of the denominations and find the one you could work with. It wasn't easy for me and I church "shopped" for a few years until I found one that I was comfortable in. I've been blessed to find one that is very peaceful and holy where there is a lot of love. I'd hope you'd come to church with me when you convert. Good Luck and God Bless

You should choose the one that teaches the truth in the word of God? In order to do this you should be knowledgeable in scripture?
For example read Mathew 6:9,10 think about what it says? then read Psalms 83:18, John 17:3, Daniel 2:44, Revelation 21:3,4, Then read Psalms 37:9-11,29, Mathew 5:5, then see if you can find anyone who teaches these things in their church? Then you will know which to choose? If you need to know more about the Bible and want to ask questions? feel free to do so?

...Believe on (trust in) the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior first and foremost, and while you have time.
...It can be difficult finding a solid church today - sometimes one must drive a good distance to attend one. At our last church, people came from a 30 mile radius on Sunday mornings.
...Every Christian ought to attend and be active in a local assembly of believers for fellowship, instruction, prayer, and worship; observe Hebrews 10:24-25, which says this:
..."And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near."
...Pray and ask God for His grace and help to find a church that preaches Jesus Christ as Lord and honors the Bible as God's word.

In theory you shouldn't choose any!
In Christianity a believer is CALLED!
in way you could say the denomination would choose you...
for me
to understand how the same God could have so many different clubs I think that God understands that people are different
and calls them in different ways to work together for a commo
goal
like a ball team
some our pitchers 2nd base outfield etc
but to be a team you need different players
So if you think you want to join a denomination check out the different ones
if my theory is correct you shouldn't have to choose
follow your heart and listen for the soft still voice etc.
You will find the one that is right for you.

Forget denominationalisim, just be a Christian. That is what's wrong with the world today, satan is so enjoying the fact that all the Churches are fighting each other instead of fighting him for the souls of lost sinners. He doesn't have to do a thing, just set back and count the souls that come to him each day because of Christians who think their "denomination" is the one.

Well, after reading the New Testament, or at the very least the synoptic gospels. I would look to one that stays pretty close to the Bible. Take a good look at what they say and do and also what they do not say and do.

It can be confusing, but I think if you look you will find a good church...theoretically.

Go to a Muslim country and find an underground church. They don't have time for all the b****cr*p that goes on in free countries. They'll only spend time on the truth - straight from scripture. You're not converting to a religion. You're accepting a new Lord. Jesus Christ. Read your bible to find real answers. No religion will give it to you.

If you're already stuck in a free country, then find a bible teaching church. One whose first, last and ONLY authority comes from scripture - and whose teachings DO NOT contradict scripture.

God bless you.
