The designation “Behemoth,” appearing at Job 40:15, has been variously viewed as (1) a derivative of an Egyptian word for “water ox,” (2) a word possibly of Assyrian origin meaning “monster,” and (3) an intensified plural of the Hebrew word behe•mah' (beast; domestic animal) that is understood to denote “great beast” or “huge beast.” In the Greek Septuagint the word the•ri'a (wild beasts) translates the Hebrew behe•mohth'. Evidently, though, a single animal is meant, as is indicated by the fact that the description given of Behemoth is not that of several creatures but of only one, generally considered to be the hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius). In fact, a number of Bible translations (AT, La, Ro, NW, JB, RS) use the word “hippopotamus” in the main text or in footnotes to identify the creature referred to by God.

Yes, in Job it God brings up the fact that man can not kill, nor tame either the leviathan and the behemoth. No animals exist today that fit into this category. For example, to have a tail like a cedar of Lebanon,, that is a huge tail. We are talking about a big tree. It was not an elephant. For an elephant to have a tail that big it would have to be a lot bigger. Now if you look at the brontosaur, it did have a tail that big.
And many cultures did know of certain dinosaurs long ago, but they called them dragons and drew pictures of them. Pagans in Persia believed in dragons. As far as the leviathan, it wasn't a croc. People have been killing crocs since the dawn of man. So, what was it? What creature in a river would be too large for man to hunt and kill? Only the dinosaurs fit into this category and description.

U mean like the bible for christian religion I'm thinkin.

We have some christian churches where I live & I went to em before (and read the bible too...not much tho). But I never heard em talk about dinosaurs bein in it.

I thought it was about the times of Moses and then later when Jesus came along. That would be way after dinosaurs were around.

Humans could never survive and raise sheep around dinosaurs. Besides the demise of the dinosaurs would have been mentioned in the bible (It would have been a big event).

So no, no dino's in the bible.

I have never read of dinosaurs in the bible. That is a scientific
study that does not agree with the origin of Man.
So, no. They have not been found in the scriptures anywhere.
Only giants, which were human form.

yes there were;

Job 40:15 "Look at the behemoth,
which I made along with you
and which feeds on grass like an ox.

Isaiah27:1 In that day,
the LORD will punish with his sword,
his fierce, great and powerful sword,
Leviathan the gliding serpent,
Leviathan the coiling serpent;
he will slay the monster of the sea.

Job 41:1-9 "Can you pull in the leviathan with a fishhook
or tie down his tongue with a rope?

2 Can you put a cord through his nose
or pierce his jaw with a hook?

3 Will he keep begging you for mercy?
Will he speak to you with gentle words?

4 Will he make an agreement with you
for you to take him as your slave for life?

5 Can you make a pet of him like a bird
or put him on a leash for your girls?

6 Will traders barter for him?
Will they divide him up among the merchants?

7 Can you fill his hide with harpoons
or his head with fishing spears?

8 If you lay a hand on him,
you will remember the struggle and never do it again!

9 Any hope of subduing him is false;
the mere sight of him is overpowering.

And this is not talking about a crocodile: crocodiles were puny compared to this guy........................

I have it understood that preflood humans were giants and dinosaurs along with all other life forms became dwarfed after the flood. Either that or dinosaurs just couldn't survive the drastic changes in the atmosphere.

Quite possibly. It says that on Day Five, God created the "taanim gedolim". Open up five different bibles and you will find five different translations, but it literally means "the big reptiles". This occurs the day before the general creation of "animals".

Read it and see. But the answer is no. That does not mean there weren't dinosaurs--lots of things in nature aren't listed in the Bible--it's about humanity's relationship to God. It's not a science text--and those (creationsists) who try to make it into one are a discrace to what Christ taught.
