yeah i know, those christians really make me mad , What with their missions to africa to feed all those different coloured kids in those countries where starvation is a problem. I mean whats with that? and they stick their noses in where they don't belong and build hospitals and leprosariums all over the world healing people and stuff.. They need to reassess their values and make a real change or nobody is going to respect them at all.

I don't think that Christians are mean and bitter. I am a Christian and I am not that way at all. Neither are any of my friends. If they are like that mabe they are just bitter about their lives in general and maybe nothing makes them happy so they pick at other people. Don;t be unfair and say all Christians are like that because that is not the case. Please remember that just because you are a Christian that does not mean you are perfect or that your life is perfect. I am sorry you have had bad examples of Christians but please don't blame that on God and don't let that stop you from being a Christian if you are not one. Please know that there are alot of nice Christians who would never be mean to people or judge them.

No matter how hard you might try, you will find that it is quite impossible for a human being to love all the people all the time. There is bound to be someone out there you disagree with...whether it be their mode of living, the music they listen to, the people they hang out with...or maybe you just don't like someone because of some "label"...
For instance...
Christians??

That's odd. As a Christian, I go out of my way to NOT be "mean and bitter." When I fall short and I am "mean and bitter," I ask God to forgive me and I pray for patience and tolerance. In fact, I believe this to be true of most Christians.
I am sorry you have had such a "mean and bitter" experience, and I will pray that you recover from whatever has maimed you in such a sad, sad way.
I also suggest that if you find Christians to be "mean and bitter," you need to find a classier bunch of Christians to hang with.
Godspeed.

I'm going to have to side with opposition on this one. There are in fact many Christians who are judgemental, arrogant, etc....But there are many who are truely caring, decent people. I'm not Christian, nor do I hold any desire to be, but Christians are like any other group of people, they have their good sides and bad. Now with that said, most Christians have a moral point to oppose what they feel is wrong. In their nature, it is neccessary for them to look down on what they think fits that mold. That's just the nature of it, or any other religon, it's how they seperate. If your different, don't worry about trying to fit in with them, just be different.

You are so damn close-minded. Every Christian is not like that. You need to quit judging people because you haven't met every single soul in this world to get a true answer. Grow up and ask a more mature question in the long run.

Why is it ok for you to stereotype an entire group of people under one conclusion? How do you know these people are christians? It says in the Bible that you will know them by their fruit..how they act. Anyone who is being mean to you because you are not of the same mindset as them, is not following the teachings of God, therefore they are not of God. So, if someone says they are a christian, then proceeds to be mean to you, they are not a christian; they are a liar. If I told you I was Santa, then stole your Christmas presents, would you believe I am Santa? Same diff.

Daniel, the people you are talking about are NOT true Christians.. You have to differentiate between the 2...
Real Christians do not do that and I am one of those people. Whatever music a person listens to, I do not belittle them for it. Its their choice to how they want to live and I pray for them but do not dog them for what they do...

I haven't found many to be mean but rather just in your face all the time about their salvation.
I would rather see a sermon rather than hear one.
Some of the most deceptive people I worked with were "in your face" Christians. All day every day it was;"
My pastor, the lord, the bible, I'm saved,
I'm saved and HIGHLY favored in the lord, I'm blessed"
okay already, all I asked was when does the meeting start?
often times If you are not part of the Jesus group then you are suspect but... we are there to work not proselytize
also let your integrity show who you are...not your exclaims of being saved.

All people...including me...have the potential to be mean & bitter. I've been hurt by Jews (& I IS one!), Gentiles, Christians, Jordanians, Indians.
And, I have been graciously loved upon by Jews, Arabs, Christians, Indians, Jordanians, Gentiles...
