Yes, definitely. I'm an atheist and I have absolutely NO problem with Christians, as long as they're not fundamentalists.

But fundamentalists ARE real Christians right along with the moderates. They just take their faith as a way to justify having some kind of supremacy over anyone else, even people of the same faith who are not as "fanatical".
Fundamentalists of any faith give their faith a bad reputation. Usually when someone believes so strongly in something its because they don't know anything else, and fear the unknown.

Only God can say who is a "real" Christian and who isn't. Fundamentalists might sound strict in today's world where some ppl say there is no such thing as right or wrong. But in the recent past, the Christian fundamentalist point of view was the norm. For example, no premarital sex. Not that long ago, if a girl got pregnant, she would be dismissed from junior high or high school (yes, public schools). And not that long ago, girls were prohibited from wearing jeans to public schools (trousers were considered men's only clothing).

Hmmm? Do the people who adhere to the fundamentals of Christianity give "real Christians" a bad name?

The Fundamentalists doesn't do anything to other Christians they are all equally guilty of fantasy and and fairy tails with no proof of their honest misguided faith. But your attempt to divide and conquer is prejudice bigotry. Fight your own battles.

If by "fundimentalist" you mean those who adhere to the fundimental teachings of Christianity, who are the real Christians? If you deny the teachings of the Bible, even in part, you deny the faith. I've come to the belief that when we try to reach out to unbelievers by comprimising on the word of God, you only make Christianity less relevant to this world.

Well, fundamentalists have the same potential to be "real" Christians, you all do a pretty good job at ruining your good name all on your own.

Yes--and what's worse, they give Christianity a bad name. Who would want to accept Chhrist when they see people claiming to be Christian advocating bigotry, intolerance, and who ignore Christ's commands to love all people, to help the poor and sick, to be good stewards of the world He made for us?

I enjoy how you are ignorant enough to claim fundamentalists are apparently "unreal". Most branches of the church all have some fairly unique, sometimes strange characteristics, but they are no less "real" as anyone else.

I think they do.
I have met a few in my life, and I would gladly cast them into a "cage match" with either my mother or her mother; two loving Christian women that would stuff their heads right up their orifices.
They think they have the truth on a keychain and they have only a glimpse of the total truth.

Excuse me:
Only good decides who are real christians (your not Him the PC crowd isn't Him).
God isn't PC (didn't become PC because the people did).
He rejected Israel every time they worshiped idols, did what was right in there own eyes, promoted homosexuality, became arrogant and stiff-necked people, abused the poor and needy.
Any of that sound formiliar?
