I don't care how much Muslims scream Islam is peaceful, they still insult the Lord Jesus Christ by calling him a prophet. This and this alone will keep both religions at odds.

Peaceful Islam has been hijacked by extremists, just as the Christian faith has been hijacked in history (Spanish Inquisition, Crusades, Salem WItch Hunt, etc.) Every religion throutout history has had this happen at one time or another. Even the ancient Egyptians were not immune to it, as in the case of the Cult of Amun.

The War on Terrorism is against the many extremists who oppose the policies of US regarding Israel. Leaders manipulate the religious fervor of the people (on both sides) to accomplish their political goals.
