Like I was just reading today, there are people who believe that Elvis is still alive. Most people don't. But there isn't a special "word" for people who "practice" not believing that Elvis is alive.

So I don't really see how you can "practice" atheism. Isn't that the natural state and everyone else gets a name for making a effot to deter from that?

Am I being confusing?

If Jesus could feed a hungry lot of people listening to his sermons, then surely it could be justified to feed the starving of the world, especially the dying children?

Romans 1:24-32

24 Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them, 25 even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
28 And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, 29 filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of env

I was reading over aquestion and people who answered it were either not religious or was basically saying it wasn't the truth in the bible. Also why do so many people believe scientists completely when it's not a completely proven fact? of how humans were formed expecially if you believ in God.

Scripture

I. Peter is the Rock on which the Church is Built
Mark 3:16; John 1:42 – Jesus renames Simon "Kepha" in Aramaic which literally means "rock." This was an extraordinary thing for Jesus to do, because "rock" was not even a name in Jesus' time. Jesus did this, not to give Simon a strange name, but to identify his new status among the apostles. When God changes a person's name, He changes their status.

Gen. 17:5; 32:28; 2 Kings 23:34; Acts 9:4; 13:9 - for example, in these verses, we see that God changes the following people's names and, as a result, they become special agents of God: Abram to Abraham; Jacob to Israel, Eliakim to Jehoiakim, Saul to Paul.

2 Sam. 22:2-3, 32, 47; 23:3; Psalm 18:2,31,46; 19:4; 28:1; 42:9; 62:2,6,7; 89:26; 94:22; 144:1-2 - in these verses, God is also called "rock." Hence, from these verses, non-Catholics often argue that God, and not Peter, is the rock that Jesus is referring to in Matt. 16:18.

I hear people speaking to me, lately, they have been speaking consistently... they are everywhere I go, they are able to tell me everthing that I am thinking and doing, i.e. they can read my mind... they tell me things about myself that I don't realize about myself, It's getting overwhelming mainly because I don't know if I am hallucinating and should therefore seek medical help or whether I should do like they tell me which is to wait patiently and have faith? Am I experiencing something spiritual or am I loosing it? HELP has anyone been through anything like this before? I really need HUMAN advice lol.

You know how there have been many questions from directors of movies and such (indirectly advertising, obviously)?

Well, I was reading the Y!A rules, and one rule states:

Do not post content for advertising or commercial purposes.

Amazing..

And, to keep in order with those rules, I'd like to ask an actual R&S question:

Have you ever tried actually doing what the Bible says without testing its logic and scientific reasoning first? That is, with only faith? How'd it work?

:D
