I was reading over aquestion and people who answered it were either not religious or was basically saying it wasn't the truth in the bible. Also why do so many people believe scientists completely when it's not a completely proven fact? of how humans were formed expecially if you believ in God.

They argue every point but the logical points. They live in sin and can only hope GOD does not exist, because if he does it's trouble for them. Rather than knowing GOD, they'll try to find any alternative to Him, even if it doesn't exist.

Because we once all believed the earth was flat, and now we know that it's not. You must question what you have been told.

Before the year 1450, books were rare and few people knew how to read. Many received their understanding of the world through the teachings of priests. Things suddenly changed with the invention of the printing press in Europe. Writers could now share their ideas with people who previously could not afford to read because they could not afford the price of a hand copied book. Common knowledge grew rapidly as books were made available on a growing range of subjects.

Modern science began in the 1600s with the invention of the telescope and the idea of gravity to explain the motion of the planets around the sun. People were able to see for the first time that the earth was not the center of the universe. Religious explanations would now be increasingly replaced by scientific ones. Some writers began to openly criticize religious beliefs.

Traditional religion suffered its most serious blow in the 1860s with the widespread acceptance of the theory of evolution. Skeptics could now prove that the creation stories contained in the old religious scriptures were nothing more than ancient myths. But not everybody was convinced by evolution. Many supporters of religion feared that if people lost faith in religious myths then they might also lose interest in community and family values.

1/ it is healthy to question - doubt is good. That is a fundamental Principal - not only in science but in life. do you believe the adds on the TV. I hope not.

2/ Christianity would not exist if people had not questioned their own religions and found them wanting. Not it is time to move on to that which is based in some sort of healthy skepticism

3/ If science is not completely proven then be careful - there is absolutely no proof of any god, only the words in a book

There is a strong tradition - especially in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam - of rational enquiry into faith. These faiths have a tradition which believes that God gave us reason, that reason is good, and that it must act alongside faith. Modern evangelical and fundamentalist forms of Christianity and Islam tend to insist on faith alone and on the unquestioning acceptance of divine law, but this is not the only way of being a devout Christian/Muslim, and in some ways is quite a new one.

science offers us physical answers...but there is always more to what u see physically. The physical helps us to carry out our spiritual lives, if u are to believe that we are here on earth for more than just existance. we are here to carry out a plan, be the most that we can be with our ever expanding minds.instead of throwing all our beliefs into science consider the hard to believe stories in the bible to be examles of the way we should live. in doing the "right things" u can have peace of mind that the things u do will only come back to u the way u originally played it.

Scientists differ
Religions differ
people differ

Let ten men read one book. Ask them questions, they may agree on the major events.

Then ask them what philosophy did the Book profess and how is it relevant to society today? Do you think you would only get one answer
Religions are very personal , Beliefs are very personal, Debate according to the bible is not correct--Questions are a way to learn.

We are commanded to test all doctrines to see whether they are of God or not.

It is written, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God or not." John 4:1

I must seek the truth to find it. I cannot just blindly accept what someone tells me is the truth. There are many apologetic organizations today that expose false teachers while they, themselves are false teachers.

The Bible says, "Let God be true, but every man a liar..." Rom. 3:4.

It didn't say, except "The Pope".

I never want to enter a religion that brainwash me. I have free mind, and before I decided to believe in God I made questions for various religions.
I finally have my faith on Him after a long search. It's not easy, and till now I still have questions but life is a process anyway

A brain that does not question is clinically dead. Believe in nothing.

People don't 'believe' in scientists. Hell, scientists don't 'believe' in scientists. Science is about gathering enough evidence and constantly striving for answers until belief is not necessary. Such as evolution, which contrary to many beliefs, is a fact and theory, with thousands of pieces of evidence in every scientific field. It can't be promoted to principle because all of the mechanisms(theory) of evolution(fact) are not known.

well, its nature to question themselves, and others. I used to be christian so i read at leats a bit of the first book. God created everything... ect. and for scientists, everything falls in placxe with the two. the bible isnt a calendar. one day in gods time in genesis may be 1.5 billion years, sothats why i used to believe in both.

Why not believe the scientists?

At least they offer you their work for analysis to make a decision. At least it's not entirely based on blind faith, like religion.

Which, by the way, can be considered even less proven than science.

Wouldn't you want to go with the one with the most evidence so far? (science)
