If Jesus could feed a hungry lot of people listening to his sermons, then surely it could be justified to feed the starving of the world, especially the dying children?

God certainly did do something-- He created us! Have you ever heard of UMCOR, Samaritans purse,Christian Missionaries,Salvation Army,Christian Children's fund, World Vision,Nothing but Nets, or any of the other numerous Christian based organizations that are addressing this problem? God created us and He said go - feed the hungry, clothe the naked. Check out some of these organizations and the amount of volunteers that come from all over to address this issue. Check out the hours and finances that Christians willingly give up for their fellow man. If this isn't a miracle than I am not sure what is.

I suppose miracles could feed the starving people. Maybe we are supposed to take care of each other though. With the technology we have now, there should be no starving people in the world.

Jesus left us instructions as to how we are to live our lives. This includes service to others. Love our neighbors as we love ourselves..... It is our job to allow God to work through us. There are several organizations that work to this end, but not enough people to complete the work.If you speak to people that work to feed these people, miracles happen regularly regarding transportation, money, survival rates. We are to find out what God wants us to do to show our love for our neighbors- then simply do it. We would not have so many sick and dying people if the ones called would do the work. Maybe you are being called to do something- that is why this issue torments you.

He did not come here to heal all the sick, feed all the poor and so on. He came to fulfill the Bible prophecy. He came here to do what was His job. The same thing for us. We do not have to help everyone, but if we would just help the ones we are supposed to. I believe we are here to love one another and help each other out, that is a miracle.

The thing about questions like yours is that they personify the attitude that many people have towards God today. It's similar to the one in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve decided that they wanted to be like God instead of depending on God.

I can't read your mind and so I'm not saying that this is true of you in particular, but many people want God to come in and solve all of our problems and make the earth perfect like it was back before the rebellion and then just go away and leave us alone so that we can be "like God" here on our own earth without having Him to worry about or obey.

But that's not in God's plan. One day He will come back and create a new heavens and a new earth but the only people who are going to be allowed to live forever in paradise restored are those who love Him now and who acknowledge Jesus as their Lord.

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

5 And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." 6 And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

To fulfill the prophesies of the bible. Things like this must happen before his Kingdom returns. Its a question for the ages and I'm not sure this is the answer. Nobody can understand the mind of God. His ways are bigger than us. Its like an ant trying to figure us out.

Did Jesus feed the whole world when he was present? No, but he did give us all something far greater than physical food, he gave us the bread of life, and streams of life giving water. Amazingly, 3rd world country citizens are infinitely more open to the Gospel than are lazy, selfish, spoiled people who live in what we consider to not be third world. (Not singling anyone out)

He can--and these people COULD be fed in excess of their needs if we were not spending our tax money on paying people NOT to farm their land! Why not give the farmers the same money for the stuff they grow and then send it off to the starving in Africa? No. that makes too much sense.

He hopes humans will do that but instead governments spend money on foolish things and some people are greedy.

Just because humans fail, it doesn't mean God is not good.
