It saids in Ecclesiastes 12:7 that man return to the earth as dust and the spirit returns to god. Yet tv, movies, and some demonination say when u die u go to heaven or hell but how can that be when the bible saids in Ecclesiastes 3:20 we are dust and return to dust again. In addition when we are die it said Mans thought perish when we are dead (psalms 146:4).

What do u think happens and give good detail!

I follow my own moral compass, I don't need the Bible to tell me what's right and what isn't. So why wasn't I cursed and burned up?
Deuteronomy 29:19-20 (NKJV) "and so it may not happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, ‘I shall have peace, even though I follow the dictates of my heart’—as though the drunkard could be included with the sober. The LORD would not spare him; for then the anger of the LORD and His jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book would settle on him, and the LORD would blot out his name from under heaven."

Pls don't say that if we do not believe Jesus is the son of God it is disresepct because Jesus is a miracle from God and all his miracles are highly respected and mentioned in the Quran. Unlike others we never disrespect Jesus but look at what people say about Muhamed pbuh or Islam. Such a shame but as the proverb says a fruitful tree is usually thrown with stones.

You must realize people that without the Holy spirit you can ask questions but never understand.
The Bible is more than a book. For the "language: of the book can only be deciphered by the holy spirit.

If we agree both are present, they can't exist without one another. If it's the action that incites your hate you must hate it every aspect including the precursory facets such as the offending parties brain chemistry and nervous system which facilitated the offense. How can the action be separated from the physiology behind it?

When the scriptures say God made us in his own image, do they literally mean God has a belly button, wisdom teeth, etc. or was this intended to be understood as a symbol of God putting true consciousness or a spirit like his in an animal that evolved over millions of years?
Was there really a talking snake or could this have been a metaphor for evil tempting early man with his newfound ability to know right from wrong?
Genesis was written by Moses who would have been educated and had access to the Pharos' library. Might he have been recording thousands of years of the oral history of the Jewish people as inspired to by God, while using symbolism for things people wouldn't have readily understood until his entire plan was revealed through future scriptures?

I just read this answer: "God hates sin because of it's results, death. God loves His children and does not want them to suffer sins consequences."

But that can't be the reason for God to hate sins. God made the rules, He made sure that the consequence of sin is death, so he doesn't hate sin simply _because_ it leads to death. That would be like hating his own rules.

So, why does he hate sins? What is so horrible about eating shelfish or wearing clothes of mixed fabrics that God gets so angry about it?

We all know about "religious fanatics" but I find now that there is a breed of "fanatic atheists" trying to convince everybody else that their view is the only one correct.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not about to go and read a bible, however, i really enjoyed your page, it was inspirational and insightfull, it was easy to read and understand, and a very gripping and heartfelt story, why can't all christians be this honest? and down to earth?
I'am a strong believer in the power of the mind, positive attitude, etc. many things have happened to me throughout my life to make me believe this. I have "prayed" for things, that have come to fruition, however I m not a christian, i think i put all my faith in myself and my abilities, not some higher being.
don't you think that the very act of prayer, could just help you to focus on your own problems, assert yourself, and perhaps by thinking differently, you can overcome them? what's your thoughts on this? you also know that statistics are statistics, not definative answers! peace!

If they believe so much in their ideas then why be mean. Instead you should feel sorry for religious people who are bound by rules and regulations put by God. Are you trying to spread atheism or what? At least learn to be a respectable atheist and nota mocking one.

Maybe in the future people will want merge religions together to create one only religion. Maybe they will agree that there is only one God and that they were worshiping the same God in different ways. Maybe the Hindus will agree that their Gods added together represent God. Maybe the Muslims will agree that the teachings of the Qur'an or equivalent to the teachings of Buddha.

Us Christians will never accept to adhere to such a religion. Jesus told us that He was the only way and that salvation came only from the sacrifice He made.

Perhaps the entire world will unite against Christianity but we will never accept anything other than Jesus as the only way.

What other religions would be incompatible with a religion like that?
