Pls don't say that if we do not believe Jesus is the son of God it is disresepct because Jesus is a miracle from God and all his miracles are highly respected and mentioned in the Quran. Unlike others we never disrespect Jesus but look at what people say about Muhamed pbuh or Islam. Such a shame but as the proverb says a fruitful tree is usually thrown with stones.

Fact is, that they are actually awaiting the Second Coming! They believe that Jesus is at God's right hand in Heaven and will come back to take all the Faithful, Christians and Muslims to Heaven at the End of Days.

They believe that they are the real, pure Christians, actually. Unfortunately, that's why they're always trying to teach us Christians of the "corruptions" in the Bible! Because, it's part of their Religion to perform the da'awa or bear witness to the Qua'ran.

They are actually trying to help their Christian "brethren"! However, they end up sounding arrogant and get bashed, because they really don't know how to do this properly.

I know Islam very closely, because I can speak Arabic and have read the Qua'ran and, most importantly, have many Arab Muslim and Christian friends whom I visit in Saudi and the Emirates.

My friends there, and the people here know me as a critic of Islam, but you'll notice that Muslims are not offended by me because I do not spout hate and suspicion but know their ways.

You see, it's really quite simple. People react to what is said or done to them. When we bash them and say spiteful things, it hurts them and they retaliate. Since we think that they are being arrogant and disrespectful to the Bible, we hit out at them.

Actually, if you could understand them and yet disagree, they've no objection at all; as long as it's done diplomatically!

I've had many debates with Muslims in the Middle East, over many cups of coffee and tea, and I still have my head on my shoulders! You could lose your head, quite literally, by being stupid there, though! Me, they respect and always say that they look forward to my next visit when we'll continue where we left off!

Unfortunately, it's all just one big misunderstanding which is fuelled by the unscrupulous Terrorists who want the divide to grow.

Pax vobiscum, pax dominic.

Simon Templar

OMG! Is Bill ever so wrong? Jesus as lesser than Mohammad? Mohammad would have killed Bill for saying that! Because Mohammad, all said and done, was one of Jesus' greatest fans!?

I forget the exact Surah or hadith, but there's an incident in the Qua'ran where someone takes Jesus' name in vain and Mohammad says to him "If you blaspheme Jesus, Allah may forgive for He is the Most Merciful, the most Beneficient; but I shall punish you to the fullest for you blaspheme al Massihe [the Messiah] and I am not forgiving!"

Jesus is depicted as being at God's right hand in the Court of Heaven, where Mohammad is among the courtiers. That's from Mohammads own description in the Qua'ran.

For God's Child, one of Allah's names is al Bari, or the Father, the Maker. There's also, al Mughtith, the Provider or Sustainer, another way of saying "bread-winner of the family" or Father. And there are al Wali and al Waliyy, both of which are other ways of saying al Wal'id, or Father!?

You see, I do speak Arabic and know the nuances of the language which are lost in translation.

It's evident that even the Muslims here are confused of al Massihe - Isa's position in Islam!

Perhaps easy recognition would like to explain how he said that Jesus, al Massihe - Isa, is not the Son of God? Why then, is He referred to as Isa bin Maryum, not Isa bin Yusuf? Because to say the name of Allah in vain is wrong, aziz, nothing else! Islam, also, believes in the fact that Isa, al Masshe, is the Son of God and that's why He sits to His Father's right in Heaven.

The reason the Mohamed put Jesus in the Quaran at all is because Satan wants to belittle Jesus and denying his existence all together isn't good enough. He wants people to believe that Jesus is not The Son of God but something less. Less than a man who was sinful. The truth is Jesus IS the Son and speaking of Him as anything else is blasphemy. Jesus said that there will be those who will say "Lord, Lord" and he will say "Go away, I do not know you". That is the future that awaits Muslims.

IF Jesus lived, was murdered (then, resurrected), ascended to God the Father; and will return to earth someday. And this occurred 650 years before mohammad 'dictated to a secretary' (read, he was illiterate) his version of truth. THEN, why is Jesus depicted as 'less than' mohammad, who even has to walk behind him?

This is more than another interpretation: it teaches that Jesus is a fraud (albeit, a prophet) and mohammad is the real deal.

Teaser: IF Jesus taught - forgiveness of enemies and love, THEN what specifically did mohammad teach; and was his teaching superior or inferior to Jesus' teachings?

You are right. But we believe in Jesus (PBUH) because he is a prophet of Almighty God & not his son. We also believe in his miraculous birth, his powers to heal the sick & to feed the hungry etc. We also believe that he was not killed on the cross, but raised unto heaven & shall be back to rule the world in his same bodily form by God's will.
As far as our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAS) is concerned, what do you think satan does all the time except fill people's hearts & minds with hatred against this Prophet of Allah so that people should detest him rather than love him.
We can see this all the time on this forum as well as other forums.
My sincere advise to you & to all members is: Ignore such Muslim baiter's, do not answer their questions, do not respond to them. They will go away themselves, defeated by our honorable silence.

Consider this from a contributor:
He said that He was going to suffer and die at the hands of evil men, and you deny that, claiming it was someone else. Yet He said, "The Son of Man must suffer a great deal and be rejected by the elders, the high priests, and the scribes. Then he must be killed, but on the third day he will be raised." (Luke 9:22) The stress is on SON OF MAN: If Jesus himself said he is the son of man, are those who claim he is the son of God following him or denying him???

You may think that you think highly of Jesus, but you deny things about Him that He said about Himself.

If I were to say something about myself, and you didn't believe it, wouldn't you be calling me a liar? Could you claim "I think highly of him."?

You may say all kinds of nice things about Him, but miss the most important thing. I won't even go with talking about His deity (which you deny), but will go to other things.

He said that He was going to suffer and die at the hands of evil men, and you deny that, claiming it was someone else. Yet He said, "The Son of Man must suffer a great deal and be rejected by the elders, the high priests, and the scribes. Then he must be killed, but on the third day he will be raised." (Luke 9:22)

He also said false prophets would come, and yet you claim Muhammad was another prophet. "Many false prophets will appear and deceive many people." (Matthew 24:11)

If you were to compare what the New Testament teaches about Jesus, and what the Qur'an teaches about Isa, they are polar opposites. The "gospel" according to Muhammad isn't "good news" at all. Muhammad's "gospel" is about following rules. Jesus' Gospel is about following Him.

Islam acknowledges Jesus as a Prophet from God or Allah.

the problem is that christianity generally does not acknowledge muhammed as a prophet of god.

And for the record I tend to think that we have reached a point where any and every religion is mocked and disrespected equally.

Poeple who think Islam is an entirely different religion from Christianity are fooling themselves. Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all part of the same religion. There was a schism that took place long ago. Splits and divisions are still happening, like Mel Gibson touting the passion. That is Catholic and he is trying to have it adopted into all levels of Christianity.

What would you call the denial of his divinity?
Islam was the first direct, major religious contradiction of and attack on Christian revelation and belief. Islam has also been considered a Christian heresy because many of Muhammed’s beliefs appear to have been garnered from heretical Christian communities living in his area during his lifetime. God went to tremendous effort and trouble to reveal Himself to mankind through His Son. He became man, taught, healed, laughed, loved, suffered and died for us. He wanted us to know Him personally, "I and the Father are one" (Jn 10:30) and "He who has seen me has seen the Father" (Jn 14:9). He did not just dictate another book, albeit a miraculous, perfect one, again. No, that wouldn't do. He became one of us, and handed on the faith to other humans and told them to do likewise, calling us to genuinely become His children: "Through faith, you are all children of God in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26)

On the other hand, this new purported revelation from Muhammad reverted mankind's relationship with God back thousands of years, arguably even more. Muhammad gave us another book, no Holy Spirit, and insisted we are not sons and daughters of the Father, but merely bondservants or slaves. "Islam" literally means "submission" or "slavery". It insists on pushing us away from God, holding Him at a distance, a distance He once lovingly bridged with outstretched arms. It is revealing that of all the Muslim names for God, none is "Father" or "Love".

There are also many direct and intentional contradictions of Christianity within the Koran (the Muslim holy book). For instance, Muslims do not believe that Christ was resurrected after His crucifixion. They believe he merely fainted and was revived later on. They do not believe that Christ was God. In fact, they consider Christians blaspheming idolaters for holding this belief. Muslims also do not believe in eternal punishment in hell. They believe that hell is a place of temporary punishment and purification. The Koran also teaches that it is not only acceptable, but necessary to forcefully convert non-believers, and to kill them if they absolutely refuse to convert (with the exception of Christians and Jews, who may opt to live an inferior life as “dhimmis”, paying mandatory extra taxes and foregoing the same rights as Muslims). They do not believe that Christ is the savior, the One Who opened the gates of heaven. These are a few of the major theological differences, many of which came about because Muhammad apparently learned about Christianity from heretics who lived in the region.
