speaking in tongues. Someone replied that you can tell if the speaking in tongues is genuine if there is an interpreter present. Can someone please explain how this works? Thanks! =0)

This might sound a bit harsh, but I actually am serious.

When one of your biggest dreams is that this planet will come to an end and Jesus will take you in his arms and lift you up to the sky....Then you obviously have no interest in making this planet a better place for our children. Why should we, the people that care for this particular planet, give you a vote in what we do with it?

Why are so many people making jokes about priests and the Catholic Church? Do you think you are funny? Most of the child molestation is happening in protostant faiths, the Episcapal church. Catholics are actually accepting of gays, so fo all you gay people out their making these jokes, (don't throw stones!) And as for you protostants, Catholocism is probably the most sain Christian religion. We have never had anyone walk up to the alter to be 'saved' in soem cult like fashion similiar to Jonestown. My father is baptist and I have seen it and it looks like a fricking cult initiation. The preacher takes the fallower at weak time by riduculing them with sin then has come up to the front and takes advantage of them in that weak state. I'm sorry but that is supposed to be better than talking to a priest behind a screen and confessing sins and getting obsolved? There is no crying or public spectacle. Must you remember the story of the bible where Jesus tells us that when we fast not to look

PROPERLY taught in schools. kids are going to do it...and having a teacher stand there and say..."just don't do it." is not cutting it.

why can there be no discussion of birth control in health classes? explain yourself.

It seems to me that the bible was written to share the promises of god and his plan of salvation to the continuing generations of man. The bible also states that man receives the holy spirit when he believes and becomes "saved".

This being said, how is a person supposed to learn enough about these things to become "saved" if they can't understand the book that outlines them until they receive the holy spirit? What is the point in handing out bibles to unbelievers if they aren't going to be able to grasp the full concept?

Why didn't god write a book that is meant to share these things with unbelievers? Why did he just write an instruction manual for those who already believe?

Why is that do you think. If other books are authored by GOD and not man would they not like their prdecessor the Bible need the Holy Spirit for interpretations?

On Passover, Jewish families eat a specail meal called the Seder. Can you tell me what kinds of food do they eat in Seder? I only know there are six kinds of food, but don't know what they are. what does "matzot" mean? i can't find this word in dictionary. please answer in english, thank you

According to lore Lucifer was cast out of heaven because he was jealous that God created man and whatnot.

Lucifer and his league of extraordinary angels now roam the earth teasing us and stuff.

The watchers were punished and kicked out of Heaven for boning the daughters of man.

Was this a 2nd group of rogue angels or the same sect? Was it before, during or after Lucifer's rebellion?

If Lucifer was jealous of the creation of man, then did he possess the serpent before or after he was kicked out?

As someone who doesn't attend church on a regular basis like I use to (Perfer to have Church at home)

I found the way some people dressed in church appalling, Some girls with skirts up to thier hines, guys looking like total slobs hair unkept clothes that are wrinkled...Maybe it's old school, but I was raised to look respectable in church it was a day to honor God, and it does not take alot of money to look clean, dressed nicely and put a comb through your hair when you are in church...

I think God hates sinners. Read Psalm 5:5 "The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong."

But God hates sinners conditionally. The condition is their sin. If they repent, everything changes.

I always read people stating that "if God hadn't given us Free Will, we'd be like robots"

Is that true? Assuming there is a God who created us: how do you know there aren't a million more emotions that he didn't give us? We can love, hate, be angry, etc, etc now. But how do you know there aren't many more emotions possible that He simply didn't give us?

And why is 'robot' the alternative to Free Will? He could have simply created us with the power to make decisions, yet no evil inside us. We'd still have free will, but we'd simply be better people.

It's got to be the Sun God. You can see it and feel the warmth on your skin. Without a doubt, the sun gives us life and has never failed to turn up for work. What other god can you say *that* about? Convert to Sun God worship. You know it makes sense.

I'm taking a Spanish 200 class. For the pass 2 classes, it seems that homosexuality is all the professor wants to speak about. I need this class to graduate. I feel really uncomfortable sitting in class during these talks. In the last class there was a homosexual Spanish author reading a passage from her book and it got very sexually explicit. I don't know whether to approach her in private about how comfortable i feel in her class, speak out against it in class or say nothing. The professor did say we would be reading more passages from that authors book in future class discussions.
