Were not on here to make you an atheist, just like your not on here to make me christian, basically we atheist like to look at other peoples opinions on spirituality, it may seem like we are not interested in religion, but in fact being atheist has a lot of meaning to us, we are interested in religion and why we dont believe and others due, its a fascination with any normal human, and we have a right, to have a voice in an forum that speaks about spirituality and religion because being atheist has everything to do, with that.

Probably both. Some atheists ask questions here where they will post many scriptures and are looking for what they mean. I think those are really trying to get convinced because they are seeking information. For them to quote the bible, it means they are seeking in my opinion.
Really I don't think that it makes sense for an atheist to post in the "religion" area, but many are searching and some others just try to be mean and hurt people believes, but that is every where atheists or not. Plus really they can post ever where.

Well, this isn't a Christian field, or any specific religion for that matter. Religion and Spirituality is an open topic for any religion. I think you will find that while atheist don't have faith, they are still interested in religions from a sociological or educational point of view.

I'm not sure. Why did you post a question about atheism on "Religion and Spirituality"?
Might it not be for the same purpose?

Neither, it's just way more entertaining than any other category - you can always be sure to get a good laugh at what outrageously desperate theory to "prove" God is going to be thrown at you next!
Oh yeah, and a lot of non-deists are highly spiritual people, it is R AND S after all.

Because this isn't the freaks only section.
Atheists also know how to use a search bar to see how many times a question has been asked. Apparently you are not smart enough to know how to do that.

If they set up an "atheist forum" the fundies would just plague the hell out of us like they do the gay and lesbian section.

It's an open forum. I like to read about different viewpoints. Plus many of them are clever and funny in their questions and answers.

Feel free to convince me if you can ... Anyway, this is an open forum for questions and answers, and there is no particular forum for atheists, so why not?
I'd actually like it if we had an atheism section. I bet the religious people would crowd it.

you're confusing god and relgion. however i do no longer have confidence in gods, I do have confidence that faith exists, that it impacts me, and that i've got the spectacular to precise an opinion on it. to boot, few in the soccer section be attentive to what the Ontological Argument in choose of god is.
