I'm taking a Spanish 200 class. For the pass 2 classes, it seems that homosexuality is all the professor wants to speak about. I need this class to graduate. I feel really uncomfortable sitting in class during these talks. In the last class there was a homosexual Spanish author reading a passage from her book and it got very sexually explicit. I don't know whether to approach her in private about how comfortable i feel in her class, speak out against it in class or say nothing. The professor did say we would be reading more passages from that authors book in future class discussions.

Gigg,
I found Gay sex gross before I was Christain, ok.
I know that is uncool to say. But not everyone is going to tolerate every type of filth they throw at you.

Its a language class? What the hell ever happened to "I would prefer my tea on the balcony", when they teach language.
Why is it necessary for you to learn this in a language class?
I was just reading about the homosexual agenda. Its everywhere, but esspecially in the schools. Hey, if ya want the next generation to be predominantly gay, start with the influential young children, huh?
Like it or not, the truth is that since gays cannot reproduce, it is rather necessary for them to indoctrinate the children, and also to be able to adopt children. So, you will see these two things being pushed more and more as time goes on.
I sure as hell hope its a college class you are talking about. If I find out something like this is going on at my childs public school, all hell will break out, I assure you.
If it is not appropriate to even bring up the
Creation as even a possible theory in the schools, then why is it appropriate to have open discussions about being gay in school.
Its okay to push a homosexual agenda, but not okay to push a religious one?
The CNN News this morning tells of a
school where the kids were mandatorily
sent to classes to discuss explicit homosexual activities, and no child was given the ability to stay out of the class, nor were any parents notified that they were going to have such a class. What did happen, was that each child was forced to sign a paper that stated he/she would not tell any parent or other adult about the class.
The kids were told that it was a "secret".
This is not somewhere in another country.
This is the good 'ol USA. Don't believe it?
Call CNN or check it out online; this just happend within the week.
Now tell me that there is no homosexual agenda? Do you know what else happened in the past week? The nineth district court in California made the decision that in the workplace the following cannot be said, or you will lose your job, your pension, your life insurance, and any other benefits you had coming:
1. "family values"
2. "natural family"
3. "marriage" - if the conversation refers to
marriage between a man and woman.
These were decided by one of the highest courts of this land, to be "hate language".
This is all prophecied in the Scriptures.
We are living that Word of God this very minute, and people better wake up to it.
And we're just getting started, friend.......

Does your teacher have a point s/he is making about homosexuality in Spanish culture? If so, I would say don't worry too much. I would definitely complain about the sexually explicit scene though. Talk to her in private, maybe after class or something. Even if it is a college class, that really isn't appropriate. Your teacher should know better. Sex scenes often make people uncomfortable and do not really belong in a general Spanish class. Inform the head of the Spanish department, and if you're really bothered, try writing a letter to the school newspaper. They usually save room for people to write in with complaints. (I'm on the newspaper at my school.)

Regardless of how this teacher feels about homosexuality, it should not be imposed on a group of students who are there to learn Spanish. She is inappropriate, and sounds obsessive. Is it possible for you to transfer to another class with a different instructor?

Talk to the head of the department. If this professor is the head of the department, take it up with the Dean of students, or whoever is directly above the head of the department (probably the dean of the school of Arts and Sciences).
If you talk to the professor about how uncomfortable you are about her subject matter, she may think about that, conciously or unconciously when grading your papers. You preserve anonimity if you go above her.

Speak to your professor in private. Being exposed to other aspects of culture is a big part of your college experience, but they usually at least take your feelings into account. Just have an intelligent conversation about it.
If she is rude about it, speak with the Chairman of the department.

Tell the professor. If she does nothing, go to the head of the department, then the dean, etc. Tell them you are offended. Technically, this is a form of sexual harassment and it is illegal.

She is most likely homosexual herself.
You could go to Administration and get your class switched, I had to do this myself when a female teacher of mine wanted to preach her witch craft during class time.
She was eventually removed from that college.
