a leader in the Southern Baptist Convention said that "while there may be scientific evidence to show that homosexuality is biological in origin, that still does not null the fact that it is a sin". he spoke of looking into genetic therapy to "cure" homosexual fetuses, so that they would be born "completely heterosexual". how is this not hypocritical, when in the same breath they talk of the sanctity of human life, and of saying that God would not allow a child to be born w/a condition that is considered a sin?

On the 25th of December it is bitterly cold in jerrusulem. Yet it states that the shepards were out at night watching their flocks...wouldent their flocks be in some kind of shelter at that time of year? So it stands to reason that if their was a christ, he wwas not born at that time of year or the stories surrounding his birth are false ...which is it?

You know what I'm talking about. I'm an atheist myself. I read questions from theists in this section that just exasperate me. Do you just try to have fun with them ? Do you pity them ? What ? How do you persevere ?

I don't really see the problem I guess. Yeah, some people (myself on occasion) like to stir up trouble for fun but what does it really do that's disruptive to the community? What's the difference between a troll and a sincere person giving an answer you don't like or find personally offensive? Shouldn't we all just lighten up and have fun? I mean, they're just words on a computer monitor

I see on peoples profiles a lot under religion: christian.

What does that mean? Does that mean you go to church every sunday? Or that you believe in Jesus, and his magic? And ghosts and spirits and demons?

There is nothing to do, as you know it all & can do all.
Seeking perfection is pointless, for you have always simply existed perfectly.

i feel that when people become educated and start thinking for themselves they begin to question the existance of an external God/Allah.
I too walk that line of been a sceptic since leaving islam

Every race, whether it be black, white, yellow, red, ect, has a vision of there own color of God, but what color is he for real. I know he is a Jewish person and the jews that I know are mixed color (I suppose) so any one please tell me what color.

Okay, I know about the big bang! a huge explosion. But how did planet earth end up with so much water. Water is very rare in the universe, in fact, we may be the only planet in our solar system with water, water has not been found in any other planets. There is absolutely no evidence of water anywhere else in the universe.

So where did all this water come from?

The person in question is a porn addict, yet denies it. They also are a compulsive liar and no one around them knows a single shred of truth because they are lied to all the time. If they do the truth of things, then they deny it. This person can do absolutely no wrong in everyone's eyes because no one believes that they could ever possibly be capable of what they are accused of.

How can a person live like that and call themselves a Christian?

Will you travel to planet pluto, or see the world's wonders first hand?

Will you be afraid & try to use anything for your new body, even a tree?

What will you do when you die & have the new freedom, no need to eat, sleep, be tired, work, no child support, etc etc

to be honest, this practice is beyound me. there is nothing wrong with praying at sunrise. and they (muslims) have always practiced it (since the 14th century) coz they had to wakeup and start their days anyway, No! (hence, no 9 to 5 jobs)
i truly think that such activity in our modern age can cause health risks by interrupting sleep patterns and all. why not pray in the morning! what do you think?
