I'm taking a general poll. Only bona fide Atheists please respond.

"Do you find that weird, random things often happen to you? If so, can you give me an example of a story where such events did occur??

These would not be things you yourself did, but rather how exterior forces acted upon you. i.e, "Things happen TO you"

Sure, when I get my water supply cut off at the source (pardon the pun!) for no apparent reason even though we`re not the ones paying the water bill (our landlady is) and we pay the rent on time each month!?!

When someone knocks on our front door at 2 am...

When a house mouse starts ripping off the label on the cinnamon jar in the middle of the night when we`re in bed asleep...

And the bag of rice.

And the packet of noodles.

Yeah that is weird, you`re right buddy!

Are we being punished for being atheists, even though my partner was raised by a Jehovah`s Witness?!?

The mind boggles.

At least mine does!

Random things happen all the time. Every time you interact you are faced with random events. You walk in to a museum in another country and bump into a long lost friend who just happened to be there visiting at the same time as you. Both of you strangers to the land you meet again. Weird. Depends on what you define as weird weird to you might be normal to me.

Yes, here's an example of something strange and random that happened to me:

I came into existence after evolving on a pale blue planet in a star system on the edge of the Milky Way out of billions of galaxies in a universe nearly 14 billion years old. More so, I am able to recognize my own existence, and I was born into a time period when science let me understand what led up to it.

That's pretty weird, cool, random, and completely outside of my control. Other than that, my life is pretty average. :-)

Weird and random stuff happens to me to exactly the same extent it happens to everyone else. Atheists don't have more or fewer coincidences to comprehend. They don't have a worse or better survival rate from illness, they don't have more or fewer road accidents, they aren't any more or less subject to the possibilities of depression, they don't have a greater or less chance of winning the lottery. We just don't believe there is a god, because there is absolutely no evidence for a god.

Not really, no. Sometimes something will happen that I don't understand, but I will look for an explanation and almost always find out what really happened.
