i'm hoping you are able to supply up lol long adequate to take it in... Roman Catholics have fairly particular ideals that are distinctive from all the hundreds of 'non-conformist' church homes (protestant, baptist, Methodist, pentecostal and so on.) The RC have self assurance they are the direct descendants of the apostle Peter who replaced into asked to discovered Christ's church... so as that they are particular, and that they have got self assurance the Pope is a particular chief with divine powers as an occasion he can forgive sins and is in no way incorrect. The RCs have self assurance a clergyman is appointed to act as an in-between individual asserting prayers and taking centers so the church people could be stored. in addition they hand out the communion which miraculously transformations for the period of the provider to alter into Christs physique and blood. The circulate to admit their sins and the priest forgives them and so on. The protestant church homes have self assurance they might have a right away relationship with God themselves. They rent their very own church leaders who serve the church. The have self assurance the communion is symbolic like baptism and facilitates them survive music even in spite of the shown fact that it is no longer magical in any way. The authority in the church is the Bible so all preaching could initiate from the bible and help people stay on the factor of God. In the two situations consumer-friendly people frequently don't think in each and every thing of what their church does... they %. the bits they prefer and smile with regard to the rest. such countless Catholics do no longer circulate to confession or have self assurance the Pope is infallible...yet they nevertheless circulate susceptible on the knees whilst a clergyman blesses them. Many protestants overlook approximately components of the bible that don't fit in with the way they prefer to stay. the biggest single distinction is...each and every person is customarily born Catholic (right into a Catholic kinfolk) yet they modify into Protestant by being born returned, having a conversion journey, as an grownup.

Miriam M has part of your answer but also in most cases the Catholic communicant receives only the bread (there are exceptions such as in special wedding ceremonies) while in the Protestant service the communicant receives both species also in some Protestant churches the wine is replaced with grape juice because of those churches position on drinking alcohol.

My mum is a protestant and dad a catholic, the difference is that Protestants don't give importance to Mother Mary and they don't have statues in their churches whereas Catholics are vice versa, it doesn't matter if you receive Communion from either of them, cuz both believe that it is the body and blood of Christ.....

The Catholic Church retains the power and authority, given to it alone by Jesus, to transform ordinary bread and wine into the real and substantial body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ.

Non-Catholic Christians broke away from the Catholic Church, and separated themselves from the Catholic Church's God-given power and authority.

That's why most protestant groups maintain the bread and wine (or the grape juice, used by some groups) remains only bread and wine, and is merely symbolic.

For those who lack God's authentic power and authority, and only those, it IS merely symbolic.

Catholic communion is a partaking in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. The bread and wine become the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ.

Protestant communion is the partaking of bread and wine.

There are three ways to look at communion -- transubstantiation, "the unbloodied sacrifice of the body and blood of Jesus Christ", consubstantiation, "on, with, and under the elements", and spiritual presence. Roman Catholics believe in transubstantiation, and I believe Greek Orthodox also interprets Communion this way.

At the Last Supper, Jesus said, “Take this bread. It is my body.” Then he said, “Take this and drink. This is my blood. Do this in memory of me.”

Catholics believe this was the First Eucharist, that through a miracle the bread and wine actually became the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

Catholics reenact the Last Supper during every Mass, where God, acting through the priest, changes the bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

This is a great sacrament of thanksgiving and unity of Catholics.

With love in Christ.

Catholics Church is repeating the sacrifice which Jesus Christ has done once and for ever.
They believe the bread and the wine will transform to the real flesh and blood of Jesus Christ.

We do it as a remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ done once and forever. We do only symbolize the bread and wine as the flesh and blood of Christ Jesus. While we do this we declare the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.

Luke 22 : 19And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you

1 Corinthians 11
23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
