Do you believe you have to be baptized in water in order to go to Heaven?

Denominations do not bother me. I think that when we get to Heaven that God isn't going to say, "OK, I want all the Baptists in this line, Catholics in this line", and so on...We are one body of Christ.

I'm a baptist and I use to attend a protestant missionary church and they both believe in the bible. I don't agree with catholics because they pray to a human to intercede for us and it seems silly to me. Mary and the other saints were humans used to do the will of God, not worthy of worship. I don't agree with Pentecostals either, but I went to a church once and these ladies were there passing out from the spirit of God and men stood beside them to cover them up because when they feel their dresses came up. Now why would God do something so shameful like that, that they actually had to be covered up? I don't have a problem with other denominations as long as they believe in the bible.

I talk about the issues of the word of God and try to leave out the denomination as much as I can. I do not believe that a particular Christian denomination is necessarily hellbound just by being one. This is because I believe that a Christian is a Christ because they trust God through Jesus Christ. All the other stuff can be debated or discussed.

Denominations are human products - - man-made and not part of God's plan. There is only one Church. One Lord. One Faith. One Baptism. One God and Father of us all.

And, since the Creeds only know of one Church - "One, Holy Kath-holick ('according to the whole - indivisible") and Apostolic Church" - and that Church is the Body of which Jesus Christ is the head, and ALL BAPTIZED PERSONS are the members - then there should not be "denominations".

Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, the night He was handed over to suffering and death - that we all should "be one".

I think we should act like it!

Your question is a false dichotomy: Just because a given church is wrong about something doesn't mean its members are all going to Hell. Any church that agrees with the ecumenical creeds and practices water baptism is preaching the same Gospel that saves us from Hell.

I solely concentrate on MY religion and what I believe in ... while still respecting other religions. I also try to keep an open mind. I think if everyone did this - the world would be a more peaceful place.

I hate that there are different denominations. I guarantee you, when Jesus returns, he will put a stop to this foolishness. There is only one God and one Jesus. They should be worshiped in accordance to a bible that has gone back and extensively researched ALL ancient text, both Greek and Hebrew.

It's not about denominations at all.
It's about knowing Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
