I'm sorry, but it is. Ancient Mediterranean Cultures was my GPA saver in college- 3.9s. It is an epic poem.

Because people believe in it as truth. Calling it an epic poem would be seen to diminish that belief.

Yep. And like I said in the last question, no evidence for it at all. Their was no Hebrew art found in Egypt at all. No Egyptian record of the plagues or anything even remotely backing the story up.

Well except what may or may not be a wheel in the bottom of the Red Sea.

Can one make poetry from history? I guess so,the IIliad by Homer.Or Tennyson's ode to the Crimean War."Into the valley of Death rode the 600..."
