If an African Tribesman grows up in a remote tribe, completely isolated from society, has never spoke to a christian, never learned to read, never heard of "god" or religion, when he dies, does god send him to hell?

If yes, why?
If no, does he go to heaven? Why?

You're either a liar or ignorant. Go study anthropology. There are many indigenous tribes even today who never learn of god.

That's FUNNY! Is this the fair god you're talking about?

(2nd commandment)
I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and fourth generation of those who reject me

I like your question a lot. This realization began my questioning of christianity early on. As for the impossibility of everyone not hearing of the christian god in this modern day, ridiculous, baseless. Even I concede that the majority of people have heard the "good news" a single exception is inexcusably wicked. It's proof of an evil god.

But there is no god.

Let's get one thing straight. God sends no one to hell, Mankind has the choice of where they go after death. You can accept or reject, that is the freedom God gives you. Why would God allow anyone in who does not believe? If one has never heard the word how can they rejuect Christ?, Now if you go out and teach the world and they say no then is a done deal. When is the last time anyone on this answer sight has told someone about Christ? Perhaps you are the one that will bring the word to the tribes ascribed to in this question. By the way try it with your neighbor you might be surprised.

Hell is for those who follow according to certain religions.
I believe that the indigenous people have their own path to the Divine and as such are not subject to Christian rules of death and the afterlife.

I'm not going to Heaven or Hell either, and I have heard of your God, even spent some time as a follower until I decided it was not the path for me.

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we believe that all people will have an opportunity to learn of the Gospel, and of Jesus Christ either in this life or after they have departed this life. They will have a chance to either accept or reject those teachings and will be judged according to their choices after being given every opportunity. It never made sense to me that someone would go to hell when they've never even had a chance to learn of the gospel. That did not seem like a fair God to me. I made so much sense to me when I heard that doctrine. God is a fair God and would not do anything to unjustly condemn His children whom he loves.

That has been a question raised lately in my cirlce of friends, which if some have become new Bible thumpers.
There is no definite answer, but if you use common sense, you will figure it out!!
Hello! God loves everybody! Why would he send them to hell at all?
Some people deserve hell and they want it - people who don't know God can be great people that do great things.

If they were never taught or there was never anyone around to show them the way then they are not at fault for what they do because they don't know any better, they would be pardoned of their sins and be rewarded with paradise.

The Catholic Church teaches, "Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation."

I thought everyone who was ignorant of "the real god" and the bible and all that junk went to purgatory. Isn't that where all the jews before jesus and the babies who die before they can know god go? according to christian beliefs?
