If you know you're not going to like the answer?

Regardless of how tactfully someone asks/answers a question, if it's not what you want to hear/read you'll still get bent all out of shape. I find that reaction wide spread here on Yahoo!Answers.

So...why get outraged for people answering with truthful opinions? Do you really like people lying to you just to be politically correct?

I prefer to be honest with my opinions.

Turkey, Saudi Arabia... I don't know extensively but they seem to have a history of craziness. Is Pakistan alright? Their former female president is touring some college campuses. Sorry for being an ignorant American.

This five year old has potential, unlike his dad who never had potential in any field. The poor fella works as a dishwasher at a Dhaba and moonlights as an auto mechanic during free time. But the human spirit is such it cannot be squished by poverty. A poor man can have as good an appreciation for music as a rich connoiseur. One day the poor fella heard a fantastic rendition of a Disney movie number coming out of his restroom. The man panicked thinking a strange kid must have entered his castle. But when the door opened it was his own little Sonia belting out those tunes. Lacking resources for formal vocal training the man sent his gal to a local black church for gospel training where his budding nightingale soars ever higher every week. There have been a few near misses though. The other day Sonja was also singing Bhajan in the pew. On weekends she bursts out into gospel choir in front of horrified Hindu guests. Dad says, "God will recognise talent". Who is right? What talent?

I'm thinking of rewriting the bible as it should be, love, compassion , humor , non judgemental behavior , understanding , random acts of kindness .
if I have left out anything then please tell me what to put in it!

I hear people say things like " The Truth of Jesus Christ " and stuff like that all the time. But is it the Truth? Do they know it because they feel it? Do they feel it because they know it?

I tend to use the word Truth differently.

I can have Faith that my car will get me to work today.
I can Believe that my car will get me to work today.
I will not KNOW that my car will get me to work today until it actually gets me to work.

And thats the Truth.

I know I have asked this quit a few times , but I keep getting different answers.

I am A Christian, but I doubt my faith. I pray to God and such, but I realize that faith is believing in something without knowing for sure. That, of course, causes me some doubt. Are there other Christians out there who doubt? and is that wrong? I just don't understand how everyone can be so sure they are right. none of us will know for sure until we die...

Islam teaches that God has given man the faculty of reason and therefore expects man to reason things out objectively and systematically for himself. To reflect and to question and to reflect.

Nobody should press you to make a hasty decision to accept any of the teachings of Islam, for Islam teaches that man should be given the freedom to choose. Even when man is faced with the TRUTH, there is no compulsion upon man to embrace it. But before you begin to form an opinion about Islam, ask yourself whether your existing knowledge of Islam is thorough enough. Ask yourself whether that knowledge has been obtained through non-Muslim third party sources who themselves have probably been exposed to only random glimpses of Islamic writings and have yet to reason on Islam objectively and systematically themselves.
