Is it blasphemy to say God made us and loves us? If you think so you are likely a heretic. Read John 3:16

I think almost all christians use some kind of image, be it crosses, illustrations in books (how many of you have a bible story book for your children?) or other physical items.

As you know David, I am an atheist, but I think doing away with any kind of religious art is a huge mistake for churches. Two weeks ago we went to Paris. We did the whole goofy tourist bit, including going to Sacre Couer and Notre Dame. The beauty of those churches was amazing. Even though we were looking at them with secular minds, we still were blown away. Puritanism, which is really where this harsh protestant flavor comes from, is a cold mistress.

I readily admit that much of the most beautiful art and music in the past was inspired by religion. I can still enjoy it as an atheist.

First Brains, we are not idols. God is not a worshipper of humans or any being. Think before you try to blaspheme! If you're an example of a non-believer, no wonder we're going to win! God Bless You!

God said not to have other gods. Or make images and bow to them. God gets mighty jealous.

God is God, and we are suppose to worship the LORD God who freed us from bondage to sin.

God doesn't worship anyone. We can only worship Jesus Christ who Is the express image of God. God (Elohim) the Father, Word & Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ Deity is the Word of God, and Jesus Christ humanity is complete in Gods Image, that He Is like the first Adam before the fall, body, soul & spirit.

When humanity sinned, rebelled against God, humanity died spiritually (denied tree of life) & later (within 1000 yrs) died physically. When humanity died spiritually is no longer the image of God (body, soul & spirit).

No, WE are forbidden to make images. God can do whatever He wants. He's God. If we make images, then we are trying to act like God. Also, God doesn't worship us. However, we humans have a bad habit of worshipping idols that we carved ourselves.

Look, sacred images are idols. They are false gods. But God isn't.
