I.m a catholic, and from reading other answers on this thing, apparently if you pray to anyone but jesus you are committing a sin.

Basically all of us Catholics are evil evil people for praying to saints for help and guidance. But I also pray to dead relatives for strength and guidance, which is essentially the same as praying to a saint, is this a sin?

a boy is born in Iran.
he is instructed, like all other children in his nation, that allah is god, christians are infidels, etc.
despite being a good person, he grows up believing these things to be true.
eventually he dies.
does he quite clearly go to hell?

there are at least 20 versions of the Bible in English (KJV, New International Version, New American Standard Bible, The Message, Amplified Bible, New Living Translation, English Standard Version, Contemporary English Version, New KJV, 21st Century KJV, American Standard Version, Young's Literal Translation, Darby Trnaslation, New Life Version, Holman Christian Standard Version, New International Reader's Version, Wycliffe New Testiment, Worldwide English New Testiment, New International Version - UK, and Today's New International Version.

So which one is correct? They don't say they same thing. Some leave out words other have more words. Some even change the words. How do you understand what God wants if their are so many Bibles? Wouldn't that mean that depending on the Bible you use would mean that some Christian religions got it all wrong and others right?

I despise people who try to play politics with religion. I am a democratic Christian...to me, thou shalt not kill means not voting for a party whos priority is the military and provoking wars to profit their companies for greed. I dont feel its right to get an abortion, however, i dont feel its the governments place to tell you that, to me that communism. I could go on buy you get my point, your views please? Thanks.

Maybe Jesus has a different opinion about something than god, and then the holy spirit comes in and really mixes things up....

Why do you feel evolution is false and creationism is true? What physical evidence do you have to back this up? I see Christians on here stating evolution is false - that is some big words considering creationist theory has no evidence of existence, other than the fact that some guy in Israel thousands of years ago decided to write a book.

Don't use bible verse as evidence- I could say Hogwarts exists by quoting Harry Potter books, but that doesn't make it real.

Oh... also, please don't use the evolution is just a "theory" argument. That argument is made from people who don't know the difference between the word theory from a scientific standpoint and the word theory from an everyday language standpoint.

Evolution has some downfalls I feel, but we are still trying to understand it. It still has far more evidence of proof than creationism (which last time I checked has no evidence).

I'm looking for a guided meditation cd that I can use in the mornings and at night to really center myself. I'd ideally like something that I can meditate to for 5-10minutes as I'm just starting back at it after a long break. I prefer meditations that are guided and have no music. Any suggestions?
