when we as a nation allow our elected officials to torture humans in our name? God allows Satan to torture humans in his name. When we have the resources to feed and care for the masses but choose not to? Did not God create the earth and give man dominion over it? And if so, did he not see how his gift would be exploited by those in power? And if he did, is it not reasonable to assume he condones this behavior? If he is all knowing, is his cruelty so great that he must force the mass of humanity to suffer for his own pleasure? Must not an all powerful God with knowledge aforethought be held accountable for the conditions He created? The suffering He imposed? Is his vanity so great that he needs our worship? If we are created in his image, is he a vain glorious, narcissist just looking out for #1?

I don't believe in the rapture of the church. I also don't believe that Jesus will reign (literally) for a thousand years on earth.

The way I interpret Revelation 20 is that when Jesus died on the cross, Satan was defeated. After that and for a "thousand years" (not literal), Jesus reigns with us on earth. I believe we are in the millennium in which Jesus rules on earth. It's not a literal rule but Jesus did say "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

I really don't like the interpretation of the rapture and the thousand years reign on earth. The interpretation is not very logical and causes many problems. For example, what happens when we come back to reign on earth with Jesus? Can we die again at that time? What happens if we die, is there a third resurrection? If we reign on earth for 1000 years and cannot die, that means there will be both eternal and normal people on earth.

Premillennialism doesn't make any sense to me. What are your thoughts?

Seriously, I mean it's unreasonable to hate homosexuals, but some of you have no problem with that. It's unreasonable to deny women abortions, but hey, no quams here, right? It's unreasonable to let your kids go fight in a war where they kill people, though your whole stance on killing is that one ought never to do it, but hey, if George Dubyuh Bush gives you the go ahead, you still do it. It's unreasonable to hold up stem cell research when it could save lives and improve the quality of life for others, but why bother with that when it means utilizing fetus' that are as good as furtilizer otherwise, right?

I nominate Counsilman Salahuldin Asadullah for Islam!

Chose your nomination for your faith.

NOTE: You can only choose one, and you can't choose one who doesn't share your faith, this'll be fun!

While I understand that it is a Jewish tradition in regards to the 3rd commandment, and that the word is neither spoken or written by them. It still does not make sense to me, in the sense that the word "God" is still only a -physical- manmade term.

I don't believe that "God" is the true "name" of God, as names are still only -physical- manmade terms as well. To me, words (names) have been created merely to initiate a rough form of communication amongst us (the physical being).

While the commandment states, "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain..." Many scriptures also indicate that our very thoughts are known by God at all times.

Thus, I believe that the -Being- which the name "God" describes deserves the utmost respect, but I am hard-pressed to believe that speaking or writing the term "God" -- w/o any ill-will towards the All-Mighty "I Am" -- is taking His name in vain.

For, in my opinion, it is only a conscious thought that creates the ill-will in us.

Then would it logically follow that there shall be no judgement? If one were to follow the logic presented by Pauls writings, or the writings attributed to him.

Here is my situation, me and my husband want a baby, but for some reason I can not conceive naturally. We cna afford to raise a child, however we can not afford to get fertility treatment, just to have a baby. Do you think that god did not plan for me to have children, or it is just not my time, I have been trying for 7 years. Is my faith in him not strong enough or what? I know that I am not supposed to ask him why certain things are the way they are, but sometimes I feel that I am loosing my faith in him, because the word said ask an ye shall receive, but I have been asking for a long time and still don't have a clue if I am even able to bear children, and it really is affceting my life, and at this point I am ready t o stop trying and take it as I will never have children. What is your inspiration, or feedback on this. This question is for beleivers in christ. thank you.
