justsyd: Evidently you've missed the point of the question. You claim there is no God, while Believers claim their is. You have a title for something that is there to announce the nonexistance of something. Believers are supporting something they actually think is there. Practical. Atheist? you are the human forms of a double negative. PS sorry i mispelled Atheist in the question, as if its a real thing anyway.

It is part of Bible Prophesy that there will be non-believers. I'm just doing my part.

Sir actually there is no such thing as an atheist...an atheist by
definition cannot reasonably exist. You see, no one can without a shadow of doubt declare that there is no GOD just because they haven't seen him. Now granted you will always have a certain number of "puny brains" who insist upon proclaiming their atheism but don't let it get to you. One second after death all will know that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF THE FATHER ALLELUIA!!!

To look smart, they think that by making us look bad they are just awesome!! ....guess what?... they might be wrong! :D
why?, because there is no way to prove or disprove the existance of God...so no matter how many times they refuse Him...they might be just wrong ^_^

"You know, you could be wrong too...you said it yourself, there is no way to prove or disprove the existance of god....so no matter how many times you accept him, you might just be wrong"
That is just right, and that was my point, Christians admit not having scientifical profs, actually, our entire religion is based on faith!, in the other hand Atheist will always tell you that they are completly right...that there is no God...further than that, they have nothing...they don't know or believe in nothing!, they don't even take the chance to be wrong by believing, but only by not believing...i think that is what double negativity was all about :)

I don't disbelieve in something that's not there... That's like a double negative. I believe there is no god... that belief takes no time at all. It just is.

Nicely twisted, but a bit too subtle. Most people will miss the illogic feature of the double negative.
I am impressed by how many caught it!

Actually, it takes no effort to disbelieve in your God. What takes effort is trying to help you see the innate problems with a belief that leads to destruction. I believe it is valuable to help people like yourself, understand that religion without balance has always lead to bloodshed, broken families, and hate. The fact that the religion is wrapped in nice words doesn't change the fact that it leads to terror.
That is why I contribute my time to trying to help you, because ultimately it benefits me and the entire human race. I spend no time trying to maintain disbelief in God.

So it is better to contribute time to believing in something that is also not there?
Thanks for clearing that up.

Because other people believe in it, and claim it should have a place in our laws and schools.
It's simply a defence mechanism, and we do it in the interest of our children and future children.

Why do you contribute your time to believing in something that is not there? This question goes both ways.
