Just wondering. If you say 'yes', please state your country of birth and religious affiliation if you would be so kind.

(note: I do not mean Americans living abroad)

Doug: sometimes it seems like every American I meet online is both christian and creationist. In a lot of Western/Northern Europe atheism or agnosticism or non-practicing faith is the norm.

There are only a handful of European creationists. Most are too well educated to believe such a myth as creationism. Although I am seriously concerned about a school I recently heard of which teaches creationism. It's run by an ardent creationist, called Vardy, who used to be a used car salesman. It's one of the UKs city colleges, so has quite a lot of government funding. It's truly frightening.

Atheism. You know it makes sense.

Ok, well no.

But disregarding your note, I'll be in England for a few months during the summer.

I have a question for you though: are there a lot of atheists in Europe (compared to America) according to your own experiences?

Acid-Zebra, I am an American, even living in Texas and am an atheist. Of course my husband is a Brit atheist, so maybe that counter acts some of the American thing.
