Why does an American have to teach some Dutch Guy how to spell Mark - the extra y's make you a y'ish!

It's not just Christians, but America in general. Our schools and technology have made it so that graduates now a days use a computer with spell check to do their homework in school and rely on spell check rather than learn to spell themselves. Same with math and the calculator.
On here they are too lazy to use spell check.

My spelling just plain sucks. I try to always take time for spell check. Most of the time I can't even spell religious right so it's not intended as an insult.

Because the Dutch are actually taught how to write English properly. No one in the English speaking world is taught properly anymore.

It pisses me off...

I am so embarrassed by some Americans. Maybe they are Luddites who are not allowed to use the spell check button. (though if they were Luddites they wouldn't be using computers, either. )

I think it has more to do with Americans spelling and typing skills than with a religious affiliation.

Christians lack the proper education to spell even the simplest words.

heck- I'm surprised when my fellow Americans can spell at all, given our education system and the current way we value education in this country.
