I find it completely offensive that words that are degrading to women are used without compulsion on cable TV while the "f" word and other similar words are bleeped out regularly on ALL stations. Personally I find the usage of the "f" word offensive and taking the Lord's name in vain is even MORE offensive to me but it appears to be completely acceptable to cable TV stations to allow this specific term to be used without censorship. I find it lacking in integrity and intelligence. Use whatever language you please in your home.... don't, however, subject other people's children to offensive language on television no matter what your personal religious beliefs. And it's not just adult centered programming where these terms are being used... it's everywhere.!! Most movies these days that are being presented on TV bleep out other words but it seems to be ok to leave the "G-damn it's" in. Does anyone else feel the same way? Any suggestions for doing something about it??

I'm not particularly religious, but I guess the only way I'LL be going to heaven is hanging onto someone's ankles!

This is Mutley,

http://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt=AnB_0xokBueJYOftzKBM8m_d7BR.?show=nZfPRmCraa

The "fun" is that Mutley is the Mayor's arch enemy.

The "reality" is we are just two guys hanging out.

Atheists, will you please throw vegetables at Mutley.

Thank you.

My friend, Sam, and I regularly get together at Starbucks, and have debates. His favorite to bring up is religion, because he is an Athiest. Keep in mind neither of us have any intention of convincing others, but we do like to debate about anything and everything- religion, poilitics, science, genetics has been a big one. Does anyone have any good perspectives I could use. Some less used answers, or some interesting points, evidence and the like- especially evidence, because we’re both “Show Me’s” and need to see it, and understand it before we believe it.
Thanks in advance.

The word beget or begotten is an event and act. Chrsitians believe that Jesus is god and begotten son. This word gives an clear indication that Jesus came into existense as an event and act of begetting. Which also means that before this event Jesus was non-existent. Can someone be begotten as well as eternal? I know you would be having lots of expanation of word begotten, but again that expanation would be against the direct meaning of begotten. Begotten is a clear english word which has a clear meaning. If some dictionary add another meaning to begotten to accomodate christianity; doesn't really legitimise using word begotten.

Can eternal God be target of event and progress? doesn't it make God was imperfect?
Instead of just quoting bible or writing your creed, I want someone to really answer my question.
I've asked this question twice, but never got any proper answer so far.
Clear and honest answer would be appreciated.

I want to tell my friends, but I don't want them to play around with it and then hurt someone or hurt themselves. Should I keep this secret? I don't want to be an outcast and get made fun of and I will not hex anyone. Please help!

Say that because the bible is a man made book they will not follow any of the commandments written in it..

so why do you atheist follow the Constitutional laws of this country or state? is a man made book!! is your life you can do what ever you want right!! so why are we going to obey!!

my point is that the bible teach us how to be better people!!
"love one another? or be kind to others! !obey your parents!! is this what you don't like ??

the things we don't like to hear from the bible are the things we all love to do!! for instance if i love to live in fornication of course I'm not going to like all the passages written in the bible about fornication!! and this is why many people don't agree, because they like to live according to their desires and passions!!

and please don't write passages about the mosaic laws written for Jews at that time, because we live in the grace!! those disciplinary laws like stone people for bad behavior don't apply to us!!

The standard atheist "catechism" on death is that we do not fear it. I didn't exist for 10 billion years and hardly felt a thing. :)
This is slightly disingenuous though. One might well feel great trepidation about the circumstances of one's death.

Under what circumstance would you choose to end you life?
Say, about to be captured by an enemy that uses torture. Save a bullet for yourself? Dying a slow and hopeless death?

Also, would you accept the legal risks of assisting someone else to die if they were unable to do it themselves?

Many religions claim that they beleave what the bilbe says. But they ignore the importance of God's REAL name. For egzample:
1. We pray for his name to be sanctified Mt 6:9, 10
2. Numbers of time in the bible it was refered to it as something VERY important Ps 83:18; Ex 6:2, 3; 3:15; Isa 42:8

Hi I want to know if anyone has experience of connnections which allow you to know what someone is feeling or thinking when they are not even in the same building as you.

and if you are a professional how do you close them out.

or if you are a believer how did you break the connection?
