I find it completely offensive that words that are degrading to women are used without compulsion on cable TV while the "f" word and other similar words are bleeped out regularly on ALL stations. Personally I find the usage of the "f" word offensive and taking the Lord's name in vain is even MORE offensive to me but it appears to be completely acceptable to cable TV stations to allow this specific term to be used without censorship. I find it lacking in integrity and intelligence. Use whatever language you please in your home.... don't, however, subject other people's children to offensive language on television no matter what your personal religious beliefs. And it's not just adult centered programming where these terms are being used... it's everywhere.!! Most movies these days that are being presented on TV bleep out other words but it seems to be ok to leave the "G-damn it's" in. Does anyone else feel the same way? Any suggestions for doing something about it??

I gave up television about 4 years ago. I haven't missed a thing; in fact, I find I have much more time for worthwhile pursuits such as gardening, exercising, writing, art, music, and being with real people. In my opinion, television is overrated, and is getting worse and worse. Occasionally I see a program at someone else's house, and I am astounded how quickly the medium is deteriorating.
