According to Muslim scholar Bassam Tibi,

"Muslims are religiously obliged to disseminate the Islamic faith throughout the world.... If non-Muslims submit to conversion or subjugation, this call can be pursued peacefully. If they do not, Muslims are obliged to wage war against them. … Those who resist Islam cause wars and are responsible for them"

NO.

The only time one can wage war is when they are being oppressed or persecuted. The Quran actually says the opposite with quotes like:

There is no compulsion in religion.

You be my way and I be mine.

Leave them alone to enjoy themselves, you are only a Warner.

You are not a guardian over them.

Leave their punishment to God.

Do not make fun of people, the last may be better then the first.

It is better that you forgive and bear that is the best resolve.

And so on, and on. Islamic Law is actually one of tolerance, respect, freedom of religious, free of oppression, women's rights, rights of orphans, rights of divorced wives.

Some Muslim countries do uphold this, but others uphold some pre-Islamic pagan rule that Islam came to abolish in the first place.

No. Political leaders in the Middle East teach their followers to impose Sharia law (not Islamic law) on non-Muslim states.

the factor you will possibly be able to desire to seem at is the style of converts interior the prison equipment. almost seventy 5 % of the minorities are switched over to Islam and, in view that they're in prison, they're down trodden via the large devil. they do no longer want plane distributors, conflict ships or stealth bombers. in the event that they set off off a suitcase nuke in us of a of america, then all they might desire to do is threaten to repeat that in the time of yet another substantial city and that would convey us to a stand nonetheless. seem what the WTC towers coming down led to. the US transportation equipment got here to a screeching halt and we stood nonetheless. Terrorism basically desires to instruct it could do some thing, and then, make a veiled probability to do some thing lower back, and we react. it rather is the entire tale of what makes terrorism artwork.

I cannot answer this question directly because I don't know. However I can tell you what I experienced at an Islamic mosque.

They tell their worshippers to get closer to their god and to follow the rules of the Koran. Nothing really earth shattering there.

"Islam" does not "teach", but the Quran does convey that point of view.

Those who say the Quran is a book that purports peace are lying or they are in a state of ignorance and denial!

In a short answer, Yes. For a complete and valid discussion on this very topic, Read Sam Harris's book "The end of faith", specifically the chapter titled "The problem with Islam." But dont think that you are left out Christians, because he rips you apart also.

I don't know, but it has been done in the past. Several Muslim Clerics also seem to indicate that any land that was ever under Muslim rule, must ALWAYS be under Muslim rule, and that fighting to get the land back, even from the original inhabitants is ok (eg. trying to make Spain Muslim again)
