Why do you want to drink holy water? Isn't regular water good enough? Or isn't holy water just regular water anyway? woa. They could make MILLIONS if they brought out a Holy Water brand of drinking water. People would go nuts for it. . .

Make that BILLIONS.

Ah, you must have seen a bottle of that new holy water in the store.

It's okay - it's just regular water marketed for money.

Holy water is tap water that some imperfect man said a prayer over. It is used in the blessing of oneself. If you want to drink it go ahead. But if many hands were dipped into it I wouldn't drink it if I were you.

This is an example of traditions of men. Jesus showed us how to worship. Nowhere did he bless water and tell us to make the sign of the cross to bless ourselves.

Jesus was sent to earth for us to follow his footsteps closely. He taught us how to pray, what to pray for, and whom to pray to. On that note he never told us to pray to him. He told us to pray to "our father". That meant his father and ours.

If someone comes to you with a teaching that goes contrary to the scriptures never receive this person into your home.

You going to drink something that has had a bunch of unwashed hands in it? Or are you not talking about water in the cistern?

Who made it Holy?
Do you actually believe a man can make something Holy?
I would seriously think about that.
If a guy in a cassock can do it, I can do it also.
I'm just the same as him, a man.

I think sometimes they put a kind or oil or something in it. Probably not a good idea to drink that.

Sure it is okay. If its blessed and you have faith that is it, then you can drink it, say a prayer and feel blessed- I have done it before. It is still water, difference is, its blessed!
