Why don't you focus on enriching your own minds? Do you think that hate filled reproach will make anyone see the light?I notice that many of you claim to have read the Bible, but still say so many bad things about it. I've studied it in depth, and most of what appears to be hypocritical, can be explained by further examination. You make us appear as people who hate and despise what others call holy. Show what we can do by trying to advance humanity, you accomplish nothing bashing Christians

Do you have a problem with the theory of gravity???

Newton fist came up with it. It was a good theory. It explained why you are not currently being flung out of your seat into the far reaches of space.

Einstein improved on it. He described gravity on a macro level in his general theory of relativity....

Now. Gravity is a scientific theory. Do you not believe it as a result?

Look it up in a dictionary people, there is a difference between a theory and scientific theory.

I think the book of genesis is a theory. Ha.

Does a person inherit spiritual awareness of their ancestor's background?

Being of Scottish roots, I find an interest in Celtic (and British Isles) and Norse spiritual things very appealing - even though my family left Scotland over 150 years ago.

But I have absolutely no interest in say, spiritual concepts from India or China.

What think ye?

I saw this answer a minute ago:

"Evolutions is fading away. Look at the global warming for an example. Looks like believers are winning."

I am assuming that she means that people are now leaning towards creation more than evolution. I disagree!

Doesn't global warming actually support evolution? To me, I think it certainly does.

go to church on Sunday, kill every thing that stand against you, don't believe in god hell for you, bye bye foreskin ow. I have never read the bible and the other books but I was never told these things where in the books

have people forget that its is more culture not religion that some of these things come from. The clothes in countries such as Iraq, it must be because of the sand storms not religion. the foreskin thing why would god want you to change his creation.

If they don’t believe then why do you care I mean as long you have lead a good life the god if he is real will think that you belong in heaven in not then he isn’t such a nice person to follow. And Iraq same country same believe but to gangs that blow up there on land doesnt make sense at all. This seems a bit stupid to fight over this.

I’m not religion because well I don‘t believe in it and every who does don‘t seem to care about what religion stands for. Sorry for all the reading but ill try to read all answer

Yeah, I know the internet had not been invented yet. But what I'm getting at is: What was the difference between the common person's life in biblical times and the common persons life today?.
For instance:
-Most people back then thought the world was flat.
-Most people lived their lives within a 5 or 10 mile radius of their home (except soldiers and royalty)
-Swift and drastic “justice” system.
-What else??? Education? Lifestyle? Crime and Punishment?

Let's see:
1. The primary symbol is an instrument used to torture a man to death.
2. There's the idea that God hated everyone so much that He'd only be appeased by having his own son killed -- infanticide.
3. And the primary ritual is to mimic cannibalism.
4. Finally, there's an end of the world prediction filled with yet more natural disasters, war, death and disease.

Gee, now there's a recipe for a healthy mind! No wonder so much hate and violence comes from it. People think it's permissible to do what their gods do. What a sick, twisted and insulting conception of a Supreme Being.

I've read a few messages by "Christians", who say they love their children, spouses, or parents first, and THEN God. Which means...their love for God comes second.

If you are a Christian who feels this way, I'd like to hear why you believe this is Biblical, and why this resonates with your heart? Also, do you believe Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac, because he loved God more, trusted God completely due to faith, and did so out of obedience, or all the above?

Note: It's possible to trust someone and not love them more than your children, spouse, or parents, which is why I've asked the latter.

Lastly, to unbelievers who may not understand why Christians will disagree on this issue, please be aware, that every Christian has a different level of spiritual maturity, knowledge of scripture, and relationship with the Lord, just as all Christians have not been born again.

I was surprised to read this from Christians, and I'm interested in reading your responses?
