Seriously, there is a notion of "reach" when determining the size potential of ocean waves. It means that the longer a wave has to travel, the bigger it can be. That's why Pacific waves are favored by surfers over Atlantic waves. Now add in the fact that Noah built the boat out of wood. No wooden structure could have withstood the waves in a landless Earth in the midst of a supernatural storm!!!
