I never remember what I really would like to remember, and everything I want to forget stays in my brain forever. Why is that?

I really wanna remember what Schopenhauer, Kant and Nietzsche said, but everytime I have to search for that in books.

And at the same time if I hear something about the Olsen twins or Paris Hilton, I seem to have brain cells that do nothing else the whole day long than remember who they are, and present me with that information when I don't even want to.

Why did God curse me with the wrong brain cells?

The ancient chinese wisdom said that the best man is like water.
Is it the same as John 3:5 when Jesus said that someone must first be born of water? Is it what we know as water baptism ? Can someone explain me, please?

I came across those lines and cant remember where, and what or whom they're referring to.

O, draconian devil!
Oh, lame saint!

What are these lines referring to? What devil in the Scriptures or legend is especially "draconian"? Which saint is or was known to be lame, and why? How are that draconian devil and that lame saint related?

Do you know anything about it? Please help!

There whole thing is based on a political division after Muhammad (s) death. How did they become their own doctrine of Islam?

Why do they beat themselves bloody on Ashoura if doing such acts are specifically haram?

If there is a god, wouldn't a much simpler explanation be that it created the universe and then left it alone to govern itself.

I mean most religions like to put humans on a high pedestal. Like we are the most important beings in the whole universe, when we are nothing more than than than carbon based life forms on some little rock at the edge of a average galaxy amongst billions of other galaxies.

Argument about God:

Pro: if God didnt exist there would no justice for good and evil after death and maybe there's no heaven. Also people have made Him such a big part of their lives for no reason.

Con: If God does existence we have less control over our destiny because God has plans for us, or that people are suffering so much even though there is an all good and all powerful God reigning over the universe.

Someone has to help me with this. The vast majority of the posts from agnostics and atheists are well spoken and correctly spelled. Grammar and punctuation are usually pristine. But the "I have to say the same thing to every post because my belief system doesn't allow me to think for myself" people can't seem to spell. Why?

Yes I've asked some questions that could be construed as being on the verge, but none that are plain mean. People are reading what they want to into these questions. Many questions are about christian fanatisism, its what I grew up with and know, and have so many problems with. I'm not trolling, and I'm really looking for answers. But why is it that the nastiest replies are from the Christians???
Im not poor me...ing. I came here, I asked the questions, but what the heck??

As far as I see it, isn't all the same?
Each one believes they hold the truth so what's the difference?
If I drink the poisoned cool aid, I belong to a cult but if I kill people in the name of God (or whatever you call it), I belong to a religion? Is that basically it?
