you may not understand my word for now but you will!! just remember this question!! a lot of you will be saved from eternal death!!

I know this is kind of a sick question, and I dont encourage people to become beleivers just to be "safe", but this is just a question. If I was not a Christian, and I knew that being an athiest meant that I would go to hell if I was wrong about God not existing, i would seriously re-consider. Honestly, if you are a Christian, and then end up being wrong about God's existence, then oh well. you dont lose anything. You live life as well as you can, and then you die, no biggie. But if you are an athiest or whatever, and you are wrong, and God DOES exist, the consequences are great. Yikes, scary thought. What do you think?

Oh, and no, the reason I am a Christian is not just to save my butt from hell. I'm just wondering why others dont embrace something that promises eternal life and promotes love and kindness, and instead they risk missing out on all that.

I hate to exclude anyone, but I'm NOT looking for bible quotes.
I'm looking for a good answer from people searching for answers. Even Athiests, what would a good answer be...I know the whole thing is fictional...but try the what if.......

I totally respect your views on not believing so please don't think this is sarcastic in any way. I am a believer but I can't stand the Christians who think they know it all on here. But would you still consider yourself an atheist if you just for a second thought that if there is a Heaven you'd want to go there? Or if after life you found out there is a God would you have remorse for not believing? Atheists are generally very well educated people who know more about my faith than I do so it's just a question. Please holy roller Christians DO NOT answer this question, you're the reason why atheists have every right to hate us

I don't think prayer or christian groups should be taken out of school. It's not hurting anyone and it keeps kids from vandilizing and gives them something to do. I also don't have any beef with the pledge saying "under god". I still believe in evolution though so don't get all preachy just yet.

Think of all the work it's going to take to change birth certificates and other legal documents.

If life begins at conception, then my birthday would have been yesterday, not in December.

Seriously, if everybody ignores these people, they will get bored and go away. Then perhaps we can have some intelligent dialogue.

I have suffered greatly due to my religious practice and it was not for want of trying to be a good person. Then I wondered if this was what 'god' would want for any of us? Suffering is not a natural state..........thoughts? Namaste (I honor the light in you)
