John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Who so ever believe in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world but to save the world through Him.

Oh man, you're gonna get a plethora of false information here!
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Here is what it does not mean:
That God sent Jesus to die for our sins. Does it say anything about dying? No, it does not, however, lots of Christians will say that Jesus HAD to die or God CAN'T forgive us. Baloney, God can forgive with no conditions. He can do ANYTHING.
Here is what it DOES mean:
Accept Jesus and follow his teachings, become closer to God via Jesus, and you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Go to God via Jesus. That's what it means.
It says nothing about dying or crucifixion or sacrifice or paying the price of sin or anything. It simply means follow God to find Heaven, because closeness to God is heaven. Jesus shows us the way to God by his teachings.

It is the Bible verse which says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
What this means is that God loves everyone one of us so much, that he sent Jesus (his only real son) to earth so that if we believe in Jesus and believe that he died on the cross for our sins, turn away from our sin and become saved, we shall not be sent to hell but instead shall get to go to heaven when we die!

WoW,that Dolores person is so misguided.Although it does'nt
say in John 3:16 that Jesus purpose was to die in our behalf,
It certainly says it in many, many different place in the bible.
That was the whole and entire reason for Christ to come to
earth.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believs in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
It means that Jesus came to Earth to die for the sins, a painful and humilliating death on the cross so people, so that EVERY ONE can go to heaven (so that we would not have to die in God's name in order to go to heaven) . Before Jesus came to earth only God's people (the Jews ) had access to God (Yahweh) , but after Jesus came, every one had to know God and get eternal life.
If u believe in God and that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. And if u trust in God and love Him with all your heart. Basically if u give ur heart to Jesus. You will die here on earth, but your soul will live on to go to heaven and to see God's "new, perfect earth" after wards. So, in short, ull live fore ever. Ull never die.
