If there is a god, wouldn't a much simpler explanation be that it created the universe and then left it alone to govern itself.
I mean most religions like to put humans on a high pedestal. Like we are the most important beings in the whole universe, when we are nothing more than than than carbon based life forms on some little rock at the edge of a average galaxy amongst billions of other galaxies.

What is higher or more important to you than humans? Are not all life forms on the planet carbon based? Are not Caucasoids overall superior to all other creatures on the planet? If some other life forms are "bla bla" based rather than carbon based could I not also just say they are "just" "bla bla " based creatures. Why is that a problem?
Yes in christ insanity and other religious fairytales humans are thought to be above nature and immortal and with a fictional "soul" that puts them above all other life. Most all that "profess" to be christians have not even read the christ insanity bible from cover to cover though they say it is their "creators" words. The New Testament is chock full of destructive and even suicidal advice perfect for ones enemies to follow. It was in fact created by Jews and promoted to their enemies in order to destroy the Roman Empire in revenge for the sacking of ancient Hymie town.
Most religious writings are long and contradictory by design. That way the herd will not read it and herders can find a verse to agree with most anything.
Only the most defective, weak, perverse, stupid, insane humans buy into such obviously destuctive suicidal fairytales like those in christ insanity writings. Since natural selection has been held at bay for some time most all humans are as described above. The worst specimens reproduce the most. Cowards, descendents of conquered peoples, slaves - that is what the stupid masses are. Today they are happy wage or salary slaves. They are lowly herd animals incapable of independent rational thought. They want to bend knee and worship. They love to please their many masters.

God made sure the Scriptures were complex to rebuff people. As Jesus did many times during his ministry, he rebuffed people by challenging their resolve by placing an obstacle in their path. the complexity and size of Scripture gives us one of many tests in life to see how devoted we are to God.
Our attitude toward Gods words tells a lot about our attitude toward God.
