Someone has to help me with this. The vast majority of the posts from agnostics and atheists are well spoken and correctly spelled. Grammar and punctuation are usually pristine. But the "I have to say the same thing to every post because my belief system doesn't allow me to think for myself" people can't seem to spell. Why?

Youth has nothing to do with it. Besides, most of the people I'm referring to are adults. Who apparently are uneducated.

Gods Girl... thank you. "Grammer" is spelled grammar. Or is "grammer" slang?

I am simply pointing out a definite pattern that I have noticed. I didn't say, "Why are Christians dumb?" I have my own opinions on the subject. I simply wondered if anyone else had noticed the trend and what their thoughts were.

Ediebop: I gave up reading the "word of god" when I realized it made no sense. I have done plenty of Bible reading. In fact, my biggest reason for not believing is the extent of my biblical knowledge, not the lack thereof.

Philosop... in one fell swoop, you have completely debunked my entire theory. Thank you. You are not a very intelligent human being.

Danni_d: Althought your spelling is not indicative of the majority of other Christians' posts (those that I have witnessed), your haughty and self-righteous attitude definitely is. Way to go.

Aw, come on, you already know the answer...
Intelligent people generally don't hold outrageous beliefs for which there is no evidence of any kind, such as are required (and celebrated) by religion. While there are of course exceptions, the percentage of religious people is higher among those with the least amount of education.
What professions in our country require the most amount of education? Scientists, doctors, lawyers, college professors, etc. Among which groups do you find the lowest percentage of religious belief? Scientists, doctors, lawyers, college professors, etc. It's a nice direct association. :)
And before I get more "you're going to hell for insulting christians" e-mail: what I said does NOT mean christians are stupid, and it doesn't mean ALL christians aren't educated. THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS. But sorry, it's the truth -- statistics bear that out quite clearly.
Peace.

Incorrect spelling, punctuation and grammar are a fault of many users of Y!A, not just one specific group. That is an unfair, biased and harsh judgement to pass on any group, let alone Christians.
I am a Christian- go back and read my answers. I hardly ever answer multiple questions with the same answer. Some are guilty of this, but I have noticed it with Athiests as well.
And for the person who says that all Christians are stupid and uneducated: I am attending a four year university on a full scholarship based on my academic record, am on the Dean's List and will graduate Suma Cume Laude this year. I am also a Christian.
Did I stutter???
PS: I take offense with you referring to me as haughty and self righteous. I simply added the last bit about my education to point out how wrong others on here are about the education level of Christians. I am not self promoting or belittling anyone else by any means. I was defending the other Christians who, like me, do have an education and a career. I am not the most educated person, by any means, but I'm not an uneducated, inbred "hick" who only learns about God either.
I was just trying to make a point. Sheesh!

I don't think there exist a belief system in the the human body. Yes, you did spell all your words correctly and with that, we can conclude that you are intelligent. Knowledgeable on spelling and grammar. You have immeasureable wisdom. Your nervous system works perfect. You are the true essence of "i do not know what."
And to answer your question, maybe because it's called Yahoo! Answers not Yahoo! Spells.

If you go in all the other categories you will see that many other people on here cannot spell or use correct grammar. It's not only us Christians...as you could see if you would open your eyes. How about instead of criticizing people, you go read the Bible and study God's Word?

Not necessarily so. It has been my observation that misspelling words and poor sentence structure is a fault which exists with nearly all Yahoo Answer users. Few actually take the time to properly spell words or collect their thoughts.
To make such a broad statement is wrong and consequently a fallacy.

Obviously, people are just too lazy to spell the whole word out, or they don't like to use the spell check. I do agree. It bothers me when I see misspellings or grammatical errors.

Why do you keep editing your own answers?
I think you are abusing this community forum.
Everybody misspells things.
Give me a break!
Complain about something else and ask a real question.

Lets just keep it simple.Lets just worry about the poor souls that don't know Christ.
To help out others in their communication skills. Might want to seek on the upper right hand corner at the check spelling before submitting any other comments.

Maybe they are in a hurry to bring people to Jesus and sometimes they make mistakes like we all do. It's human nature I guess.
