I just saw a couple of answers that stated this. I am speechless. And the parents let them get away with this?

I am horrified and totally disgusted. These poor children are being lied to! Can anything be done to legally stop this child abuse?

I mean, he knew that he was gonna live again and go up to heaven.
Who wouldn't do that to help other people?
The guy who throws himself on a grenade to save others, now *that's* a sacrifice. He doesn't know what's coming, yet he still acts to save people.

Dear Christain fellows!

There are some discoveries in christainity like tomb of jesus(pbuh) , wife of jesus Mary Magdalene and his bloodline etc...while taking it true, it would change some basic concepts of christanity, especialy if they claim that they have found the bones of Jesus, that would contradict the believe that jesus(pbuh) is alive... Movies like 'the Davinci Code' tried to prove the Mary Magdalene being the
wife of jesus and his bloodline true....and i have seen many christains believing in these discoveries.....So my question is that don't you think that adding such things in christainity would change the picture of it?and also would it not contradict Jesus(pbuh) being a God or son of God? i am interested in serious opinions only ! Thanx

How do you know what biblical laws to follow and which ones not to? At my boyfriend's church they teach that almost everything is a sin from using candles to watching television, wearing makeup or jewelry, etc. It feels so suffocating to feel judged and unable to live up to impossible standards. However, I have also been to churches that teach that all you need is the saving grace of Christ, and then you can go do as you please, committing murder and lying and still go to heaven. How does a born again Christian know where to draw the line from following petty rules to the other extreme of anything goes?

I found them to be confirmation to what I had felt was true for a very long time. Some more than others, of course.

Does this website prove to anyone that Evolution is not correct? Why not?. Do not just say no, prove your position. If we want to talk proof, lets talk about about proof. I have proved my position pretty well I think. If you feel differently prove it.

If matter can neither be created not distroyed it just changes its form. Some religions say after taking birth in 86,000 species we are born as human being & then we get moksha. Darwin's theory of Evolution also says something like this. As we have evolved from simple to complex. As from Unicellular to multicellular. From Protozoa to Chordata. From Amoeba to Homo sapians. Can it be true?
I am thinking spirituallity scientifically. I don't know how far I am right.

As life goes on, I've realized of the sinful things I've done and more things that I keep on doing that are sinful. When I pray and say that I'm sorry, things just seem to get worse, so I stopped praying. I don't think I've given up on God completely, but I think he's given up on me a long time ago. What would you do?

Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, Mark 10:11-12, Rom 7:3 and 1 Cor 7:11

For the record, she committed adultery and divorced me. I did not know she had committed adultery until 4 years later.

As I read the above passages, I'm forced to consider myself a saved divorced man. Am I not saved and divorced and a man? Yes, I am saved, and yes I am divorced, and yes I am a man. Then are these instructions for the unsaved? I don't believe so. So, as a saved divorced person, do I obey the letter of the law which only pertains to women remarrying, or do I obey the spirit of the law, which would not permit remarriage.

I won't base my life decisions on the opinions of Yahoo! members, but I was interested in hearing your opinions anyway.

Lately I've been casting around for some new religious reading material, and I'm curious about what other Pagans and Wiccans consider to be (a) the best books they've read on the subject of Pagan religions, and (b) the worst books they've read on the same subject. After all, there are things to learn from both types of writing...

So, what would you nominate as the best books and the worst books about the practice of Paganism?

I watched "The Tomb of Jesus" last night and found some of the material compelling, some faulty. parts like the "James" ossuary taken from the tomb and sold into the antiquities market, but not the others or at least those named didn't add up. Jesus, son of Joseph?! Odd. I'm not saying that it is "Jesus of Nazareth" nor am I saying it isn't. I simply don't know, no one does imo, but I do hope we get nearer a truth; one that perhaps ALL people can agree upon. That maybe he was just a man, though a great one. A visionary that saw all of humanity band as one, to live harmoniously and to prosper TOGETHER. I dig that notion a lot. I just don't think he's divine or the son of a supreme being. That's MY belief and you're no less for it.

On the other hand I've read some well thought out arguments from the faithful as well. The following thread has some very intriguing arguments that's got me thinking hard. Enjoy. http://community.discovery.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3601981278/m/6701973478/p/1
